Circa 1893. This National Register manor's most prominent resident, former U.S. Solicitor General Frederick Lehmann, hosted Presidents Taft, Theodore Roosevelt and Coolidge at this gracious home. Several key turn-of-the-century literary figures also visited the Lehmann family. The inn's formal dining room, complete with oak paneling and a fireplace, is a stunning place to enjoy the formal breakfasts. Antiques and gracious furnishings dot the well-appointed guest rooms. Great Weekend escape

My friend and I booked this B&B on a recent trip to St.Louis. "WOW" was the first word that escaped my mouth as we approached to porch. We were amazed at the size of the mansion style house in front of us. Marie the innkeeper was especially friendly, and helped us with any questions we had about the area. We stayed in the World's Fair room on the second floor. The room was decorated with antiques and had a large fireplace to add to the nice atmosphere of the place. It had its own newly remodled bathroom. Downstairs had a giant living and dining room, and a quiet study. The breakfasts each morning were great, which Marie made with great care, and great recipes. Having stayed at other B&B's in the past, we were expecting just a nice place to stay, but this mansion was well beyond what we expected. The house is on one of the most beautiful streets we saw in the St.Louis area. We would recommend this B&B to anyone who asked, and would love to stay again if we ever pass through St.Louis! A+++ all the way!!!!

A warm and delightful stay

In our Blues way from Chicago to New Orleans, St. Louis was very special, mostly because of the two days we stayed in Lehmann House. The owner made us feel at home, and at the second day we were like old friends of her. The bedroom we stayed is large, warm and confortable. We breath culture in all rooms, with books, photos and music. Thanks for no TV, we had much to talk at the breakfast and at night. The breakfast, indeed, is superb and creative, every day a good surprise. The Lafayette Park, where the BB is built, is a calm and inspiring site, and also not far from downtown. Highly recommended.

It was great to return to your B&B!

It was great to return to your B&B after so many years. We really enjoyed our stay. Breakfasts were so good and we enjoyed talking to you while we had our 2nd and 3rd cups of coffee. Your recommendation for Zia's was also great! Thanks again for your warm hospitality. Mike and Rose M, Omaha, NE

Pleasantly Surprised

We chose St. Louis for a girl’s weekend, coming from within the state of Missouri and from Texas. We were not sure where to stay in St. Louis, but knew we wanted to stay in a B&B. We were pleasantly surprised at the beauty & history of the Lehmann House. We felt very secure in the home and in the surrounding historical area. We felt confident in walking to the neighboring shops; wine bar, chocolate bar & boutiques, what more could girls want for a weekend trip? Marie and her family were very kind in helping us with directions, taking pictures and feeding us very well. Ask for her wonderful Pound Cake and Scones, you will not regret it!

Very Congenial

We met up with friends at Lehmann House and had a lovely time. Marie is the perfect hostess: available, accommodating, but not intrusive. Her wide range of interests makes her a good conversationalist. And her breakfasts are delicious! The house is a treasure trove of interesting pieces. We will definitely stay here again!

Share a mansion

Share a mansion with a family at this warm and welcoming historic mansion in St. Louis. Large rooms, delicious breakfasts, and minutes from everything. Marie (the owner) will gladly share her knowledge of St louis points of interest and historic houses with you. We would definitely return next trip to the mid-west.

Romantic and cozy!

We stayed at the Lehmann House when we were in St. Louis for a friend's wedding. It was less expensive than a chain hotel, and so much cozier too! The atmosphere is very romantic and the neighborhood is so nice with many cute shops and coffee places nearby. Marie cooked us delicious breakfasts and was so interesting and nice to talk with as we ate. We truly couldn't have asked for a more intimate stay - we're hooked on the B&B experience and if we ever come back to St. Louis, we'd stay in the Lehmann House every time! Thank you, Marie!

We love Marie and Lehmann House!

We had a such a wonderful 25th Anniversary weekend with Marie! She is such a delight and the omellete was delightful too! We met 3 nice younger couples from California, Memphis and St. Louis. My favorite restaurant is Triple, which is just a short walk up the street, next to the historic Lafayette Square. This was our third stay at Lehmann House, and Marie helped make our 25th an incredibly fun adventure!

Romantic home away from home

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights to enjoy a few days of rest and have some fun seeing St. Louis. Great restaurants in the neighborhood all withing a few blocks. The bed was comfortable and room clean and bright. The innkeeper prepared the wood for the fireplace in the room each night and it made for a perfect romantic setting. She was also a great "tour guide" helping us make the most of our short time in the city. We will be back!
