Description

Circa 1825. A working dairy farm with a herd of registered Holsteins, this farmhouse offers a country setting and easy access to recreational activities. The inn's location, between the White River and the Green Mountains, is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts and animal lovers. Stroll to the barn, feed the calves or climb up to the hayloft and read or play with the kittens. Fishing, hiking, skiing and swimming are popular pastimes of guests, who are treated to a family-style dinner and full breakfast, both featuring many delicious homemade specialties.

Liberty Hill Farm was settled in 1780 by John Emerson. His grandson, Dr. Charles Wesley Emerson, born on Liberty Hill, founded Emerson College in Boston and came back to finish building the barn in 1889.
