Awesome getaway in the Hill Country

My wife and I stayed at this wonderful B&B two years ago and vowed to return. The location is only a few miles from Downtown San Marcos, but the location is unexpected - pure Hill Country setting with small groups of roaming deer, a couple of roadrunners and even a Blue Heron landing in the yard! The rooms are truly first class, with amazing bathrooms featuring double vanities and huge showers. Super clean and each room has a full kitchenette, which was a real money saver when we didn't want to go out to eat. Breakfast at the Lime Kiln was delicious and hearty. Plenty of fresh ingredients and I even skipped lunch, as the portions were enough to tide me over till our early dinner. If you like relaxing in a casual and serene setting, with plenty of "elbow room", this is your place. Oh, and did I mention the pool? What a way to end our days - sipping wine poolside as the sun went down!
