Description
Circa 1790. Mrs. Jane Gustine-Connor purchased this elegant white Federal plantation home in 1849, and it has remained in her family for six generations. Nestled on seven wooded acres, the inn boasts one of the finest collections of Federal antique furnishings in the South. The stately dining room contains an original Hepplewhite banquet table, set with many pieces of family coin silver and heirloom china. Three Havell editions of John James Audubon's bird prints are displayed on the walls. Throughout the years, the inn has served as a respite for famous Mississippi statesmen, including the wife of Senator Percy Quinn. Each of the seven guest rooms features canopy beds and authentic Federal antiques. A full Southern breakfast is included in the rates. The Linden is on the Spring and Fall Pilgrimages.
