They treat us like family!

My wife is 90% bedridden. The staff bring morning coffee, breakfast and some times lunch while I play golf. Fantastic!

Perfect Stay!

Lovely House Inn is a beautiful inn with welcoming and knowledgeable innkeepers (Anne and Scott). We stayed in the Bristol Room - with a working wood fireplace that was cozy and quite romantic. This is a small, intimate inn and we couldn't have been more comfortable. Anne's breakfast was absolutely delicious. Do not pass up the opportunity to enjoy this lovely inn.

Lovill House Get Away

The innkeepers, Ann and Scott were outstanding hosts. We knew nothing about the area and their recommendations for things to do and places to eat were right on the money. They made us feel right at home and part of their family.

Beautiful house and grounds

Spent a lovely long weekend here. The owners/hosts are exceptional - very friendly, great hospitality, gave great suggestions for dining and sight seeing. The house and grounds are beautiful, wished we had less to do in the Boone area so that we could have just relaxed on the porch or on a hammock.

Wonderful Getaway!

My mom and I attended a conference in Boone, NC last month (March 2018) and wanted to be within walking distance of town, but far enough away to experience the quiet beauty of Boone. Lovill House Inn was everything we were looking for and more. The house and location were exceptional, the rooms were really nice and surprisingly large, the grounds were well taken care of. But the owners make the experience so wonderful. They were super nice, informative, very helpful and cooked a scrumptious breakfast. If you are going to Boone and want to be pampered STAY HERE you will love it!

Our stay at Lovill House Inn

My wife and I stayed at the Lovill House Inn. It is a very quaint place to stay. Quiet, comfortable and the owners are very helpful and friendly. Food was really good and so was the fellowship of the guests at the meals. We stayed at the Spring House which is apart from the main house so we cannot comment on the rooms in the main house. The house is within walking distance to the college and town.

Home away from home

I stayed at the Lovill Inn for the annual Grandfather Mountain Scottish Highland Games. Scott and Ann were wonderful - as were their hospitality, the grounds, breakfast ... everything. I look forward to staying again next year.

Romantic Inn for Celebrating a Wedding Anniversary

Wonderful romantic B&B Inn surrounded by blooming flowers! Our hosts, Scott and Anne, were very welcoming and helpful. We stayed in the Lenoir, which has a comfy queen size bed, loveseat, coffee table and writing desk. Private bath with shower. I ordered the ABCs of Romance package ~ sparkling cider, HUGE chocolate-covered strawberries and fresh flowers. Breakfast was delicious ~ fresh fruit, a frittata, French toast, fresh yogurt with fruit, juices, coffee, tea. Absolutely charming and delightful! We'll be going back, and we won't wait for our next anniversary!

Beautiful and Welcoming

Our stay was wonderful. The house and grounds are well maintained, the innkeepers are friendly and inviting, and breakfast each morning is delicious. This is the kind of place where you finally get to pause and take a relaxing breath. Thanks to Anne and Scott for making it happen!

Fabulous Visit! Wonderful B&B Inn!

What a wonderful visit to Boone and perfect stay at the Loville House Inn. Our hosts were available but not intrusive and delightful to talk with. The inn is beautifully furnished and very comfortable. Our room was lovely, king bed, a loveseat, beautiful fireplace. We peeked at all the rooms and each is lovely. We were drawn to the expansive, wrap around porch. It was the perfect place to end the day, with a glass of wine from the thoughtfully stocked guest fridge in the kitchen (water, beer, wine.) Breakfast was delicious and each day was a new variety of menu items prepared with love. We will be back!

Delightful. Look forward to returning

Scott and Anne are delightful hosts and their love of serving others is evident as they welcome their guests. Good size rooms to relax. Really enjoyed the lovely flower gardens and rocking on the front porch. The ability to walk to dinner in Boone made it convenient. The food was delicious and efforts were made to accommodate food allergies. Not a small task when multiple guests have different needs on the same day. Ready to go back.

Weekend Getaway

Girlfriends for 57 years wanted a weekend in the mountains. We really enjoyed our host & hostess. Scott has a wealth of knowledge and knew so many interesting facts about the Lovill House Inn. Our room was comfortable and breakfast was delightful. We enjoyed meeting the other guests as we dined together. The wrap around porch was wonderful as were the beautiful flowers gardens that surround the property.

Just had another great time in the very nice Boone, NC area. The next time we are there, we will be at the Lovill house. You can walk down the hill to a nice restaurant if you so choose.

Beautiful, Peaceful, Restful

My partner and I needed to unwind and regroup after a difficult month. The Spring House cottage at the Lovill House Inn proved the perfect place to do that -- quiet, restful, private, and in absolutely gorgeous natural surroundings! Our hosts, Anne and Scott, were so thoughtful and kind about everything, even making sure we had a special vegetarian main course at the full breakfast. The historic inn itself is beautiful and well cared for, and the wraparound porch is a wonderful place to relax and rock away the outside world. I would definitely choose this inn again, which is both close to downtown Boone and a little removed from the bustle.

Great B&B!

I did not want to stay at one of the local hotels, but I wanted to be walking distance to downtown Boone - the Lovill House Inn was the perfect solution. Scott and Anne were very pleasant and I enjoyed talking to them immensely, even though Scott is a Navy veteran instead of an Army veteran - but no one is perfect! My niece will be attending Appalachian State for the next four years and I will continue to stay at the Lovill House Inn. Thank you Scott and Anne!

Wonderful B&B

My stay at the Lovill house could not have been better. Beautiful grounds, comfortable gorgeous rooms, and very kind innkeepers in Scott and Ann. The price is incredibly affordable for a B&B of this quality: in fact, the price is just affordable period! An easy walk to downtown - a bit less than a mile. We also visited the Lost Province Brewery which is as good a brewery as I have ever visited. The beer was great, and the food was to die for! I highly recommend the Lovill House Inn - there simply isn't a better place to stay in Boone!!! By the way, the rating system here would not let me select the 5th button - only the ones below it. Not sure why, but I would have put a "5" everywhere if I could have.

Great Getaway

The Lovill House Inn is a beautiful, old house nestled against a hillside in Boone, North Carolina, that is perfect for a romantic getaway. The room was pretty, spacious, and clean. We had champagne and chocolate strawberries waiting for us. The Inn provided us with many amenities, such as access to the kitchen and a refrigerator stocked with beverages and to movies for us to view. A trail behind the house leads to a waterfall and a gazebo where we sat to absorb the relaxing sounds of the small creek. Scott and Ann (and Heidi, their rescue dog) were gracious hosts, and our breakfast (cooked by Ann) was absolutely amazing--eggs florentine, rosemary garlic potato cakes, and sweet potato pancakes. She also made the tastiest blueberry banana bread! Lovill House Inn is now our favorite B&B, and we plan to return soon.

Excellent B&B with exceptional innkeepers!

My wife and I discovered The Lovill house online and the reviews were very good, so we decided to give it a try. The Inn is super clean and has a great history , which Scott and Anne will share with guests. Scott and Anne were gracious hosts, very friendly, and super knowledgeable about the area and places to go while staying at the Lovill House. The breakfast was top notch, and the sense of community at breakfast with other guests was refreshing. We would highly is B&B to anyone who is looking to stay in Boone, NC and not stay in a chain hotel/motel. This has been by far THE BEST B&B that my wife and I have visited. We stayed in the Hickory room which is large, has a large full bath with two sinks, a king size bed and a fully functioning fireplace. Even as the house was fully booked, it was quiet, and we had no issues sleeping. We look forward to visiting Scott and Anne at the Lovill house again. You will not be disappointed if you stay at this exceptional B&B.
