Circa 1883. Even its heyday, it is doubtful that this Victorian was as elegant and unique as it is today. Each of the 10 guest rooms has been individually designed with a different theme. In one cozy room, a handmade quilt and fluffy pillows tops the bed, while ribbon stenciling climbs the wall as a tasteful accent. The Magnolia Chambers room is truly Old South with a lace canopy and antique furnishings. Another room is more Wild West with red walls, a red velvet chair and a brass bed. In still another room, a rustic 150-year-old weaving loom has been transformed into a cozy, quilt-topped bed. In addition to the memorable guest rooms, the 10-acre grounds include ponds with fountains and a stream that runs through the property. The gardens often are the site of weddings and receptions. The rates include a country plantation breakfast with Southern staples, such as biscuits and gravy, as well as pancakes, waffles and quiche. The inn's Ozark location provides close access many outdoor activities and shopping.
