Melbourne Beach is one of the most visited communities in the state. While in town, stay at any of the Melbourne Beach bed and breakfast inns and ask for directions on how to get to the Melbourne Beach Pier located at Ocean Avenue. It is one of the most historic piers in the country and is listed on the US National Register of Historic Places. Go to the Old Melbourne Beach Town Hall, a historic building at Oak Street. The Old Town History Center is a museum that exhibits artifacts on the history of Melbourne Beach including Spanish shipwrecks, Ais Indians, and the development and progress of Melbourne Beach.
