Wonderful!

On September 8, 2012 my wife and I had the pleasure of beginning our life as a married couple at the Millview Bed & Breakfast. Everything was sooo amazing! Upon arrival, there were candles lit all around to give the ambiance of a quiet, secluded destination. We sat by the fireplace and enjoyed the home-cooked bread - AHHHmazing!! We finished off our evening with some chocolate covered strawberries and sparkling cider, just before dozing off in the soft, comfortable sheets. When we woke up, we had quite the spread laid out for breakfast. The creme brule french toast was to die for! It was topped off with fresh fruit, sausage, bacon, and scrambled eggs. It was garnished with fresh spices from the garden right out back! The service we received was bar-nunn and we wished we could have stayed longer. What a romantic way to begin our lives together! We highly recommend Millview to anyone, as your next place to stay!

Romantic, Secluded, Peaceful

Recently stayed at the Millview B&B on our wedding night. From booking the room until we left after our stay; everything was smooth as silk. Very friendly hostess. Lovely old home decorated to take you back in time. The breakfast the next day was superb and I certainly could eat no more, although offered. I would highly recommend this B&B,

Peaceful getaway

My husband and I stayed at the Millview home this summer. Our stay was peaceful and relaxed. The house has been beautifully restored and the accommodations were very comfortable. The homemade breakfast was yummy and there was so much food! I wish I could have eaten more. There were also desserts made from scratch and plenty of snacks. There is one suite rented in the home, with a private bedroom, sitting room, and bathroom. Since you are the only guests, Rita and her husband give you as much privacy or social interaction as you want, and they are great to talk to. We had a wonderful stay!

A Wonderful Romantic Getaway

Millview B&B is the absolute perfect little getaway spot! My husband and I traveled to Taylorsville from Austin, Texas for a much needed romantic weekend away from the hustle and bustle of "city life.” We were there to visit family members and decided to spend the evenings alone and stay in our own place. There are zero places to stay in Taylorsville, so this seemed like such an amazing alternative. Rita booked my reservation about 5 months in advance and touched base with me a few weeks before our arrival. She asked me what types of dishes we liked and I mentioned that my husband would like “Biscuits and Gravy.” The B&B is absolutely breathtaking! It’s a beautiful 2-3 story Victorian right on the edge of town. We were greeted by Rita and Larry on the porch with delicious fresh baked pastries and LuLu’s Lemonade – by far the best lemonade I’ve ever had! The home is beautifully furnished with turn-of-the-century antiques and had a very welcoming and homey feel. Located on the first floor, the guest suite had absolutely everything we needed. Then comes the food……oh my Lord! Absolutely the most delicious home cooked meals ever! My favorites were the “Spoonbread” (bread that tasted like grits) served with my husband’s biscuits and gravy and the Crème Brule French Toast. A must have! We stayed three nights and had an absolutely lovely time. Rita and Larry made us feel welcomed in their home and were great conversationalists. We thoroughly enjoyed their company. We also enjoyed the porch swing, visiting the roosters and chickens, observing and enjoying the very well maintained garden and the claw foot bath tub. We will definitely stay there again! You will not be disappointed. Kimber and Brady Vance Austin, TX

My husband and I used Millview for our wedding night and it was absolutely awesome. The place was beautiful and was well taken care of they even put out candels and chocolate covered strawberries for us for when we got there! The room was beautiful and the bed was so comfortable! The next morning we woke up to the smell of an amazing breakfast! I would recommend this place to anyone! We will defiantly be back ! And the owners are awsome people we enjoyed getting to chat with them after breakfast. We can't wait to go and stay again!
