Wonderful Weekend

We arrived late on the Friday before Labor Day....around 9:30pm and found a note on the door to our daughter wishing her a Happy 14th Birthday 14th. My husband is active duty Air Force and was currently at school in Montgomery, AL and we live on the east side of North Carolina. Since it was a long weekend, we decided to 'meet in the middle'. I am certainly glad I found Mountain Brook Cottages. They were very willing to work with us in getting there late and then allowing us a late checkout so that my husband could give our daughter a ride on his Harley for her b'day. We would certainly stay there again if we have the opportunity. The fireplace was a welcome sight in the evenings! They do not have TVs, but we certainly did not miss it!!! Was nice to hear the brook running behind the cabin instead. We spent time sightseeing in Cherokee, through the Smoky Mtn National Park and just driving around the local area. We found a wonderful Christmas shop in Dillsboro and had breakfast in Sylva. Thank you for a great time.

Relaxing romantic getaway

Great quiet comfortable fun cabin for a weeks vacation. Helpful and considerate hosts even notified us we left items and promptly mailed them to us. Have already recommended to many friends and will to many more.

Wow Very Romantic

Thank you for making us feel so welcomed. this memorial weekend was the getaway of all getaways we did not miss the phones or the TV the nature walk was awesome I never get up at 5am. When we arrived Marquell was so helpful and gave us everything we would need for our tour of the mountains. My husband and I have found each other again we talked and laughed and enjoyed the little moments. Being so excited about our newly found get away I took pictures of the cabin and once I got in cell range sent pictures to all my girfriends and lets just say I hear a phone ringing off the hook. Thank you so much Hope to be back on labor day weekend

Romantic Cottage

My husband & I just stayed at Mountain Brook Cottages over the weekend and were absolutely delighted with the whole experience. From the moment we entered our home away from home, we were relaxed and very grateful that we had ordered a "celebration basket". we had a cold bottle of champagne and an appetizer tray awaiting us after a long motorcycle ride. It was heavenly! The most friendly owners/staff I've met, and we stay at a lot of cabins and BnB's. Next time we go though, I'm going to throw in my line (did I tell you that they supply all your bait & tackle?, they even brought it up to us!) and catch a couple of those big, beautiful trout!

A Place To Just Enjoy Living

Staying at Mountain Brook Cottages is like staying with friends for the week-end. With a busy work schedule, we find confort in no phones, TV's or rushed and packed vacation to-do-list when we relax in our favorate cabin. The owners have become dear friends and we look forward to visiting with them. Our favorite part is to lay on the couch in front of the fire and read a good book. The sound of nature and the brook will put anyone to ease and you are with-in driving distance to all of the area without having to hear car horns or dealing with busy traffic. This is the place to just enjoy living.

Little piece of heaven on earth

I have been returning to Mountain Brook on a regular basis since I first honeymooned there in 1985. Now divorced, I have been taking my 2 kids up since they were 6 years old. The first time my daughter came along and discovered there was no TV, she was upset, but after that first night of the fireplace and porch swing, she decided she didn't miss it. Now that she is an adult herself, she really appreciates the peaceful surroundings to de-stress and enjoy nature. We had breakfast on the porch every morning and grilled out and made s'mores in the fireplace. When we go on vacation, we ALWAYS return to Mountain Brook :)

Just what I needed.

This place was perfect for the relaxing getaway I needed. I had a cottage that backed up to a stream. The sound was wonderful and I slept like a baby. They supplied everything I needed for cooking my meals (except the food, of course). The bed was very comfortable. Miqelle and her little dog Poppy were very cordial. My only regret is that I didn't had more time to stay. I miss my Mountain Brook Cottage already.

The cottages are small and clean. The fish are big and tasty. The owners are friendly and helpful. The air is clean and refreshing. The fire places are warm and inviting. The brooks are calming and peaceful. The spa is and soothing and relaxing. What more could a person ask for. We WILL be back……..

Lovely and enchanting!

We love Mountain Brook. We visited on our honeymoon 14 years ago and recently went back for a fall retreat. It is so peaceful and beautiful, we would love to visit every year! Amazing!

What an amazing place to stay! My husband and I stayed at Mountain Brook cottages when we came to this area for a job interview. We needed to "scope" out the area that we may be moving to but we were very content to stay on the property. We hiked and fished for trout (that Gus helped us dress) and just wandered around the beautiful grounds. Michele was very kind and friendly and we felt very "at home" for the entire stay. What a wonderful trip!

Mountain Brook Cottages is the closest you will ever get to mountain peace and serene tranquility. I have had the pleasure only 3 times in the past 7 years to visit Mountain Brook and I can't wait to return. If you want to get away from it all...There's no place like Mountain brook.

Captivatingly Serene

Mountain Brook Cottages This was my husband and my 4th visit to Mountain Brook, and it definitely will not be our last. Mountain Brook is where we began our lives as man & wife. Our wedding at Mountain Brook was the stuff of fairy tales. Michele took the reigns & our day & honeymoon cabin were incredible. I can't even think about staying anywhere else out there. This trip we were blessed enough to get Cabin 8 again, with the brook babbling right outside our windows. It is impossible for us to go to Mountain Brook & leave not feeling revived, refreshed and rejuvenated. Mountain Brook is Heaven on earth. We love Gus, Michele & Magelle. Blair Getaway

Cottage two was our family's home in the mountains. The crisp mountain air was so refreshing that we had to fight the urge to sleep under the stars. My adult children enjoyed playing games and daily walks on the nature trail. The hammock was reserved for me. I tried to read, but found myself just laying there. The eat-in kitchen was especially nice for family meals and convesations. Maqelle and Poppy were great hostesses. I had the opportunity to walk through various cottages and all are nicely furnished. You need a week to really enjoy this property.

Natural High!

The lovely setting of this property puts any nature lover in a good mental state. Tall trees, mountain views and singing birds all added to the warm ambiance. The cabin we stayed in had all the basic comforts and also allowed us to relax with the romantic fireplace and bubble tub. The family that manages the facility are caring and helpful. A super vacation spot for sure.

Relaxing

Our last stay was wonderful, fun and relaxing. We have been to mountain brook 6 times; each has been special and memorable. The owners are full of information about the surrounding area, as well as the friendliest people I have ever met. They go out of their way to see to it that you are comfortable and having a good time. We had time to sit back and enjoy each other, talk about our past and make plans about our future. We invited our children and their families last Christmas and had the most fun we have had in a long time. Our grandchild enjoyed the fishing, the men enjoyed cleaning them and cooking them up, and the girls enjoyed the shopping in Franklin, and Sylva. You must stop at the Whistle stop Antique mall, you will look for hours. This place is just plain old “good Times”, we have booked for next month and I can’t wait………

My first experience in a Cottage and it was great! Reasonably priced and since we had our own kitchen, we saved money by not eating every meal out. Lots of things to do nearby - many free, so we saved money there, too. Central location near the Great Smokies and knowledgeable hosts. We'll be back.
