Circa 1920. Not many travelers know that just a shade north of the Kansas state line, in Nebraska's Southeast corner, they may find heaven, as in My Blue Heaven B&B. Legend says that Pawnee City, the county seat, once was the area's largest Pawnee Indian village. The hosts pride themselves on hospitality and the small-town feel of their history-laden community, which also features a barbed wire museum of 800 varieties. The inn's two guest rooms, one of which is known as the Blue Berry Hill Room, are filled with antiques.
