Description
Circa 1871. French for "the beauty of the river," this historic inn was built as a Newport-style mansion near downtown Newaygo on the Muskegon River, said to be the 2nd best fly fishing river. Near hundreds of lakes and miles of rivers, this scenic area of western Michigan is popular for fishing, boating and hunting. Half of the county is in the Manistee National Forest. Relax with refreshments on the wraparound porch or the lighted pavilion and enjoy the beautiful gardens. Browse the area gift shops for local crafts, jewelry, antiques and more. Outdoor activities abound and there are many river guides as well as sport shops and trail information for a great adventure. Ask about special packages offered because the innkeepers are experts at all you can do in the area, including tube hopping, paint balling, skydiving or simply making fudge.

Our breakfast are homemade reducing package waste. In the summer we compost our vegetable waste to feed our gardens. Approximately 90% of our lighting is energy efficient led or cfl type lighting. |
