The Comforts of home

My daughter and I had a wonderful first experience at this B&B! The Nicholson Inn will be the standard we judge all others on, and we both feel that will be a hard act to follow for us. The antique ambiance is something we both enjoy a bit of in our own homes, and the care and love they show for their terrific memoribilia shows. History handed down and appreciated. The updates they have done to make their guests comfortable and provide some privacy from each other, like the private baths, has worked perfectly from what we can tell. Our late night foray to LL Bean's wasn't meant to disturb anyone else in the house when we walked in at 1:00 AM, and it seems it did not. The coupon for dinner at the Jameson Tavern encouraged us to enjoy a fine dinner that we may not have otherwise availed ourselves of. And Abacus, across the street, sent us on our way with some truly unique purchases and many ideas for encouraging recycling in the more creative relatives we have. An elegantly set table and delicious breakfast capped off this stay with Jane and Alden, but memories of their hospitality and immaculate surroundings stay with us. We will be sure to tell others about this B&B and when we are in the area again, go back for another stay. Vicki Mildice & Sara DiGiacomo
