Enchanting

This place is so much more than we imagined. The gardens are so beautiful and the path to the ocean is very enchanting. We had a great night and wished we could stay longer. Local Ocean was a great dinner place...Thanks, Colorado Girls,

Romantic and Tranquil

I make a point of staying at Ocean House B&B a couple of times every year for much needed relaxation and regeneration. Friendly smiles, delicious breakfasts, and breathtaking ocean views from the rooms keep me coming back time and time again.

Romantic Secret Hideaway

We have stayed at hundreds of B&B's and find the Oceanhouse one of the most romantic getaways we have found. In fact it is the only one we have frequented more than once. The staff is exceptional, the rooms are exquisite, and the overall experience is unforgettable. The Oceanhouse is truly one of the best romantic places on earth.

Beyond Romantic

My boyfriend and I have thoroughly enjoyed our many visits to Ocean House B&B in Newport! Our favorite room is The Sandcastle, (though all the rooms are delightful and have their own unique flavor). The Sandcastle is decorated like the romantic fulfillment of an old fashioned dream. The canopied bed and curtains are a brocade of cream colored fabric garnished in dusty rose, frosted green and muted gold, that match the winged-back chairs bordering the fireplace. The beautiful French doors, surrounded by decorative windows that creep up to the vaulted ceiling, open onto a private balcony overlooking the cliff top gardens and ocean. A dark wood armoire awaits your clothes next to the huge flat screen TV, (which though it may not fit with the era of the room is very nice to watch movies in while curled up in bed). The bathroom boasts a gigantic heart shaped jacuzzi bathtub big enough for two to lounge in with room to spare! And breakfast! Let me tell you, Char (the innkeeper) is an amazing cook! Her banana bread pudding is one of the most amazing things I've eaten ever! Every breakfast has multiple courses. While sipping fresh squeezed orange juice, you start with something like warm brown sugar glazed grapefruit or a light berry crisp with yogurt and move on to such wonders as crab (or veggie in my case) omelettes or French toast ala Char (she does this thing to her French toast that i can't even explain and it is so good!) served with fruit and, for the non-vegetarians, sausage or bacon. Char's not kidding when she says she can cater to any dietary needs, and boy will it be scrumptious! On top of it all there is a never ending supply of warm beverages, wines, popcorn, and fresh baked cookies out at all times! I love tiptoeing down in my pjs for midnight cookies! The common room is delightful and the gardens are lovely with many benches to sit on and gaze out at the waves. We particularly love the one out at the edge of the cliff amongst the trees where you an snuggle up close in the warmth of your beloved's arms and loose yourself in the sunset. Then of course there is the lovely little path that takes you down to Agate Beach. We've spent many hours on that beach exploring tide pools, flying kites, strolling along the sand, and cuddling up beside a bonfire! We've visited Ocean House in every season and every type of weather and every time it has been splendid. The only downside is that eventually you need to leave this pocket of fairytail romance and go back to the mundane reality of the rest of the world.

We came here the first time for my boyfriends birthday. The rooms and the house is gorgeous. The staff is very accomdating and nice. The breakfasts are gourmet. Would definently come back and will continue to recommend the B&B to my friends and family. If you want to get away, this is the place to go.

Romantic Rooms

The rooms here are so amazing! They are all oversized with amazing views! The room we stayed in had a wonderful canopy bed that as soon as we sat up we were overlooking the beach. There was also a wonderful jacuzzi tub for a romantic evening in even during the winter days when we stayed. We awoke to the smells of an amzing gourmet breakfast of broiled grapefruit, eggs benedict, bacon and fresh fruit. What a wonderful place to stay during the winter months.

Wonderfully Romantic

My husband and I stayed in the Windswept room during my granddaughters wedding. What we found when we got there can only be desribed as breath taking! The view from our room was the best in the house!! The flower garden trails to the beach are impeccably manicured and the gourmet breakfast was just fantastic! The weekend wedding at the Ocean house couldn't have been any better! The hospitality of the staff was second to none. Thank you for making my granddaughters dreams come true.

Perfection

My wife and I have stayed here numerous times. When I decided to propose to my wife I knew there would be no better place to do it then at the Ocean house. The views are amazing and the staff helped me put together a romantic evening for us including reservations to our favorite restaurant.

AMAZING!!!!!!

My girlfriends surprised me with a girls weekend for my birthday. The staff was so wonderful and made me feel so special. All I could think was how romantic it was there and how I could wait to share this place with my husband. The rooms are cozy & warm with wonderful personal touches. The views are just spectacular! The gardens and personal sitting areas let you tuck away into your own world for a moment.

*Wedded Bliss*

We had the pleasure of staying at this delightful B&B during our daughters wedding in July. The event was soooo ROMANTIC with the beautiful gardens and breath taking views. The decor went perfectly with her beach themed wedding. We stayed in the Sea Rose which has a glass sitting room in which we were able to see the ocean and relax throughout the evening. I would recommend this to any couple for a nice romantic getaway.

The most romantic spot in Oregon

My husbands and my recent stay at the Ocean House B&B in Newport Or was far more wonderful than we hand ever imagined. We were greeted by Inn keepers Lex and Char who were extremely hospitable and charming. Our ocean view room was spectacular and the fireplace and jacuzzi tub made our stay much more romantic. The Breakfast was simply fantastic! We enjoyed complimentary wine by the fireplace while watching the panoramic view of the ocean. It just doesn't get anymore romantic!

Awesome Place!

We will surley be back! We had the most romantic stay in the Cottage! Everything was perfect. Charmaine is the most gracious host and cooks up a yummy breakfast that will last you all day! The view is incredible and the easy access to the Yaquina Light house is an amazing journey in it's self. We attended a very intamate wedding here and if you are looking for a romatic place to say I do this is it! We highly recommend this to anyone that wants to get away from it all.
