Needs A GM that cares about the B&B

Shabby is not chic when it cost premium prices. . .then to add insult to injury the rates were raised without prior knowledge. Noisy, second rate, old. . .and that is being nice.
Travelers to Key West would be well advised to pass this has-been by.
**Any contact with the completely rude General Manager will confirm that she has superior practice in responding to complaints… And for good reason, because without a doubt she receives plenty of them at this place.
* Don't Believe a word any of the other receptionists say because if they misinform you or omit anything it is at your own risk and the GM will claim her staff "would never" and are too competent to be human. Expect to be overcharged and never to get a refund for anything.

Dirty, Dishonest... Don't Stay

Booked 1 night at $225 US then called back to add a 2nd night (a sunday) I was told sure the room was available no problem. We get there and the 2nd night was $360 US. NO ONE mentioned this, and it was apparently OUR FAULT. I was told that their staff was not the type to make that type of mistake and if we wanted an online confirmation we needed to request it. We also needed to request a proper detailed receipt if we needed one. The hotel it's self is shabby our room was a 2 floor disaster. A kitchenette on the first level that stunk and was not finished. the stairs to the ATTIC bedroom -bathroom were dangerous and in disrepair. The walls were falling apart at the seams and the only place to walk without hitting your head was down the middle of the room. The bathroom was barely useable, moldy and not ventilated. The Three “beds” in our room were 1 bed and 2 hard futons one of which folded up if you didn’t sleep on it backwards. I am speculating but because the beds were encased in zipper bags I wonder if they have had Bed Bugs in the recent past. THESE DO NOT GO AWAY EASILY AND SPREAD THROUGH THE WALLS. The outlets weren't all functional so I had to search to find one to plug the AC into. The street noise was loud and could be heard at all times. The Breakfast was little more than pastries, coffee, and juice. B&B??? I did get a free stamp but that doesn't make up for being overcharged by $100 12/26/09
