Description

Circa 1889. One of the most inviting homes in Anniston, Alabama, sits at the foot of Coldwater Mountain. Parker House is the last remaining Richardsonian Romanesque home in the state. The original craftsmanship, which took five year to complete, is evident in the stained glass windows, hand-carved wooden fireplaces, and magnolia and dogwood designs throughout the interior of the inn. The Parker Room on the main floor is illuminated by an original chandelier. Sunlight streams through the windows warming the winter-themed Stringfeller Room. Add the Tyler Room with its antique toy theme and two twin beds to the Reynolds Room to create a suite for the whole family. In the morning, ride along the one-and-a-half mile beginner loop or ten mile intermediate trail of the Coldwater Mountain Bike Trails. The inn is also a couple of miles from the head of the Chief Ladiga Trail. Explore the Anniston Museum of Natural History to see a life-size stegosaurus skeleton model and the open-air Environments of the Africa exhibit.

Top Stay

We stayed for two great nights at the Parker House Bed & Breakfast. This was most enjoyable and we plan to get back as soon as possible when visiting relatives. After dark the view from our bedroom over the city with all the lights was gorgeous! The guest rooms are very nicely furnished and take you back to the early century while wrapping you in luxury. We loved meeting the Brightwell family and the sumptious breakfast.
