A Perfect Day in San Diego, California

 

A perfect day in San Diego begins with a walk on the Torrey Pines State beach, through Peñaquitos Canyon, or around Batiquitos Lagoon. After we feed our souls we feed our bodies with rich, piping hot coffee and a huge cinnamon bun at Con Pane at Pt. Loma’s Liberty Station. Then we ease our conscience by shopping for healthier food at the Liberty Station farmers’ market, where we buy fresh organic produce from local farms. 

 

In the afternoon we meet some friends to see a new exhibition at the Mingei in Balboa Park, or take in a matinee performance at the La Jolla Playhouse; followed by happy hour at C-Level  on San Diego Bay’s waterfront, watching the last of the fishing and sail boats come in to harbor, and San Diego’s skyline glittering gold with the setting sun. 

 

Every day is a perfect day in San Diego.
