is located one block from famous East Beach!  Our Inn is the perfect place to "de-stress" and unwind on a pictureque long, sandy, deep even at high tide beach, bordered by a grassy, tree-lined Santa Barbara Park. Wake up to the aroma of fresh brewed locally ground coffee and relax while we serve you our full gourmet breakfast. After breakfast borrow our bicycles, beach chairs and beach towels and head a block away to East Beach.  East Beach has all the amenities a Santa Barbara sun worshipper could wish for - a full beach house, snack bar, volleyball courts for Santa Barbara Volleyball, play area for children, and a bike/rollerblading bath. East Beach also a favorite for special activities - Saturday afternoon drumming, Sunday afternoon Santa Barbara Art Show or an occasional soccer game.  the best of Santa Barbara, California at your door step.

Bordering the beach is Chase Palm Park on Cabrillo Blvd., a 10-acre playland where you may ride the beautifully-restored Antique Carousel, Stroll along  the meandering faux riverbeds complete with a turn-of-the-century schooner. A three-mile paved bikepath located a block from the Inn and spans the waterfront. Bicycles, roller skates, and family surreys (bicycles for four to six) can be rented on lower State Street or borrow one of our complimentary beach cruisers provided by the Inn. Head over to the Marina for an incredible lunch at one of our local restaurants.

After lunch head back to the ocean, an expansive playground, offering every physical type of water sports from scuba diving to sailing, parasailing, seasonal whale watching, sunset cruises and kayaking. Boasting one of the largest sailing rental fleets worldwide, Santa Barbara answers every wannabe-sailor's dream, with vessels ranging from small craft to large yachts.

The Old Yacht Club Inn is walking distance to Stearn's Wharf, the bird refuge, shops and restaurants.  Experience breathtaking evening views of the city from Stearn's Wharf. The Santa Barbara bike path is also a block away and leads to the Harbor featuring daily sunset cruises, sailing adventures and whale watching excursions. Borrow our complimentary bicycles and head out for a breathtaking experience.

You may also choose to visit The Mission in the late afternoon - This is where it all began for Santa Barbara.  The mission is one of the most beautiful in the state and offers real historic insight.  Many events are scheduled at the Mission and it continues to be a focal point of cultural and religious activity.
