Romantic Interest |
We have been described as one of the most romantic inns in New England. Our rooms have high quality mattresses with beautiful linens, and high quality Gilchrist & Soames bath products. Our dining room is cozy and rustic with white table cloths and beautiful flowers. |
What's Green About Your Inn |
There are many things about our inn that are green and we have been designated as an Environmental Leader by the State of Maine. We have shampoo and soap dispensers rather than individual plastic bottles, we use organic eco-friendly ammenities and cleaning products, our lighting is compact fluorescents. We do not use any pesticides or herbicides on the property, our laundry service uses solar heated hot water, we recycle our food scraps by giving them to a local pig farm, we catch rainwater to water our gardens, and recycle bottles, cans and paper. |

Describe Garden and Grounds |
We have a large lawnw that backs up to a tidal pond, the perfect place to sit with a glass of wine. A portion of our grounds is left "wild" and is filled with seasonal wildflowers like our famous purple lupine. We also have a large herb garden and smaller gardens on the property. A private shaded stand of trees features a relaxing hammock, and a rocky point to launch a kayak. The front of the inn is across the street from a small harbor. |
