Description

Circa 1771. This property includes four lodging facilities, two restaurants, 12 meeting rooms and 60 acres of countryside. Many special events take place throughout the year, including a New England Lobster Bake, a Beer Dinner, Harvest Weekend and Yankee Winter Weekends. All the rooms in the main building are decorated with period furnishings.

The Publick House is located on historic Sturbridge Commons, where Revolutionary troops were trained. Colonel Ebenezer Crafts opened the Inn in 1771 to house and entertain the troops.
