Wonderful

Wish we could have stayed longer at this oasis. Charlotte is a gracious, warm hostess who welcomed us into her home like we were family(and a great cook to boot). Breakfast was phenomenal - fresh fruit cup, baked French Toast casserole, followed by omlettes. The property is teeming with birds and butterflies - I heard a Barred Owl during the night which was a thrill as not something I would experience at home in the city. Our room was spotless and full of special touches.

A great B&B!

You can't go wrong with Quail's Covey. From the amazingly spacious and clean rooms to the delicious food, anyone that knows the B&B circuit will love it. Charlie and John are super people and always accommodating and serving. The close proximity to Hartville, Canton, Akron, Green and other surrounding areas is a plus, as is their bass pond, sand volleyball courts and Quail Hollow State Park! Really can't go wrong here.

Absolutely the best!

Absolutely the best! I have stayed at dozens of bed and breakfasts from Ogunquit, Maine to Denver, Colorado to Vancouver, British Columbia. None can compare with Quails Covey. From the luxuriousness of the Dogwood Suite to the incomparable attention to detail by Charlotte and John, Quails Covey is in a league of its own. The Dogwood Suite can be seen in the website pictures, of course. But it must be stayed in to be appreciated. It lacks nothing in so far as aesthetics and creature comforts. Windows from the ceiling almost to the floor flood the suite with light and glorious views of the back yard, leading back into the the beautiful woods filled with walking paths. It is a bird watcher’s paradise, and yes, binoculars hang from the window ledge! The bedroom is enormous and yet so inviting – wonderful reading chair and window seat. I slept with the windows open and woke hearing the birds and seeing the sunrise. I even got to enjoy a thunder storm! The king-sized bed is so comfortable, enhanced by the highest quality sheets. A separate sitting room boasts a comfortable chaise lounge and a large closet. When I wasn’t working on my computer in the chair in the bedroom I was esconsed in the chaise lounge reading. The bathroom is enormous, with a large jacuzzi tub that relaxed my sore muscles to a separate delightful shower with two shower heads. The two sink washing area afforded excellent counter space. Each day Charlotte had the fresh towels and wash cloth wrapped in a ribbon on a step into the jacuzzi. Every morning Charlotte had a tray with fresh squeezed juice , a pot of tea, (or coffee) a fresh carafe of water, and a muffin waiting outside the door. In the evenings, you find another carafe of water with a bucket of ice waiting for you. To top it off, Charlotee brought an apple dumpling a la mode as an evening treat. Breakfast in the sunroom was pure delight. Omelets, french toast casserole, and delicious items ranging from cereal to fruit to muffins rounded out the breakfast for you. Charlotte and John were supurb hosts, anticipating your every your every need. I cannot wait to return.

I'm a client for LIFE!

My husband and I found Quail's Covey last winter when (before our wedding date) we wanted a little get away after the Christmas holiday. Our first visit was simply amazing. Dinner was to die for, the room well appointed and spotless! the house was warm and inviting. Our first experience warrented a 2nd trip. My husband recently retired from the Army after almost 25 yrs of active duty serice. After spending weeks moving 2 households into one we again found ourselves needing a get away. Charlie and her Husband are the kindest people. Very thoughtful and welcoming. Again our meal was absolutely perfect. the ultimate in comfort food feasts! (Get the swiss steak its KILLER!)My husband and I have been all over the country and he all over the world and can say without a doubt that the Covey is the best place to stay...why go to a hotel when you can be pampered in the warmed of this lovely home, by wonderful people? We have found we dont need to travel hundreds of miles and spend thousands of dollars to relax. Quail's Covey is only 15 mins from our home. Warning*** if you have dinner at the Covey dont eat at all that day! Charlie feeds you like royality! (at breakfast too!) Rick and Christy Cottrell

InnSide Tip - plenty to see and do
There is plenty to see and do in the Hartville Stark/Summit county areas. Hartville Flea Market is one of the states largest, several nice places to eat...but eat at the Covey,,,,YUMMO! Several museums and historical sites.

Absolutely a Dream!

We typically stay in hotels when we travel. We’ve been all over the United States. Due to the Football Hall of Fame celebration that weekend we couldn’t stay near a wedding we were invited to in N. Canton. So my husband asked around and researched the next best option; a Bed & Breakfast. Well, the Quail Covey in Hartville, Ohio (not far from Akron or Canton) is the most incredible experience we’ve ever had! We were curious, even hesitant as we drove down the beautiful tree lined drive to a lovely Tutor home sitting in a panorama of trees, surrounded by beautiful rich flowering gardens and wild life. We were greeted at the front door by Charlotte (Charlie), her warm smile and welcoming home. She showed us around our room, and explained that we could relax in the family room, decks, yard, and enjoy everything there. Our room was huge, and private, (loved the Jacuzzi tub!) but what made a greater impact was the entire home, the grounds and the service and care provided by Charlie and John (Owners). It was clear that Charlie and John truly enjoy opening their home to others. Everything was cleaned and polished, the gardens in pristine condition. Even the deer made their debut as Charlie was showing us around the house! We awoke to the beautiful sun rise outside our window, mist lazily rising off the pond, frogs croaking, and Hot Coffee was served just outside our room in the morning. We took our time getting ready for the day, sauntered down stairs with coffee in hand to find Charlie (smiling) pouring us a fresh glass of home made juice (her own blend of pineapple, orange, banana), letting us know that breakfast will be ready in a few minutes. She lead us out to the back deck to enjoy our coffee – so we bird watched, (Cardinals, Goldfinch, Humming birds, Chickadees played in the back yard along the woods), listened to the water falls & babbling waters surrounded by blooming perennials and talked about the fun we had at the wedding the night before. Then we had breakfast inside – on lovely china – Charlie graced us bacon & cheese omelets served with sautéed, home grown zucchini and onions, fresh fruit & custard, home made bread & jam, coffee, water with lemon, French toast casserole (NUM!), and bacon. You won’t find a breakfast like that at the ‘hotel & suites’ variety! When we were done, we found Charlie feeding a tiny baby kitten with warm, nutritious formula. She explained that the mother had died before they were weaned, so she feeds them every two hours!!!!!! Mind you, earlier she had mentioned that while we were at the wedding she’d canned the green beans! What doesn’t she do! She’s an amazing woman. Obviously Charlie and John love what they do and are fantastic at doing it. If you are traveling to Akron, Canton, the Football Hall of Fame, the lakes near-by, The Maize Valley Winery, the MarketPlace & Flea Market, the Hartville Chocolate Factory, or Quail Hollow State Park then I highly recommend you make a reservation for you and your companion at the Quail Covey! http://www.quailscovey.com/

Beautiful & Relaxing

My wife and I absolutely loved staying at Quail's Covey. From the time that we walked in the front door until the minute that we left we were made to feel like royalty. Our hosts were very warm and at our beck and call for absolutely anything that we needed. John & Charlotte are so suited to be hosts. My wife had never stayed at a Bed & Breakfast before so she was a little reserved when we first walked in the door, but that feeling wore off quickly...Charlotte made sure of that. We got there a little late, so we didn't have dinner (Charlotte offered to make something for us). We picked up something from the Amish Kitchen at the Flea Market, but had we had any idea about how great of a chef she was, we definitely would have eaten in. Charlotte made us an evening snack of a homemade apple dumpling that was to die for...absolutely scrumptious! I have a Gluten (wheat flour)intolerence that I mentioned to Charlotte over the phone and she went the extra mile and made my dumpling with a type of flour that I am able to eat plus put Vanilla ice cream on it! The view from their house is so beautiful with the pond in the front yard and the woods out back. It is nestled way back off the road at the very end of the road. We had a wonderful breakfast (made with ingredients that I can eat) fresh fruit, pancakes, bacon that I could smell from the room omelets, plus allot more. We were served in the Florida room overlooking the woods in the back with deer feeding while we ate. That was awesome! Believe me when I say that you will not be disapointed. We have every intention of staying there again.

Mrs.

We were visiting family in a nearby town (Canton) and this B&B was recommended to us. We stayed two nights just loved the atmosphere and enjoyed the Queen Anne room. The Host and Hostess were really friendly and we had a great conversation about the Amish nearby. If you visit, you must ask John and Charlotte to sing! They have a wonderful talent. I must say that the breakfast was delightful...we had stuffed french toast, pecan baked apples and poached pears with Rasberry sauce! I don't think it was good for my waist line...but it was a real treat. I would highly recommend John and Charlotte's B&B...we made a couple great friends and will return during our next visit.

Best of the Best!

My husband found this lovely bed-and-breakfast online, and decided to make it my birthday surprise. Not only did we have a relaxing and fun-filled couple of days, but were treated like kings/queens in the process. Charlie, the inn keeper, was born to host! She is a natural at making one feel comfortable while caring for every need. Extra touches, like candy on the pillows, fresh flowers in the room, a hand-crocheted wash cloth as a souvenir, are too numerous to mention. Without a doubt the breakfast served out on the deck was the best I've ever consumed! The hiking trails connected to the back yard are so entertaining, along with the pond, the hammock, and much more. It was great to drive 1/2 from home, yet feel like we were in another world! You will go home feeling refreshed after a night's stay in this clean, friendly and relaxing atmosphere. You'll never be treated better anywhere! much more!
