Description

Circa 1860. Resting on the banks of the Pocomoke River, this picturesque Gothic Revival house boasts its own dock. The two-acre estate rolls down to the water over long tree-studded lawns that invite relaxation. Porch furniture and a hammock welcome lazy interludes. Some of the guest bedrooms feature faux marble fireplaces. A hearty country breakfast is delivered to the room. Other accommodations include cottages and a guest house. Take a refreshing swim in the pool. Canoes can be rented two doors away. The 17th-century village boasts old brick sidewalks and historic homes.

Perfect place to relax!

We stayed in the River Cottage, a lovely place with a jacuzzi and a fireplace, and overlooking the rolling lawns and the river. We enjoyed relaxing on the porch and watching the fading sunlight. Hot breakfasts were delivered to our door in a picnic basket. We will definitely return.
