Joseph Kinney, this magnificent Second Empire Baroque mansion served as the model for Missouri's Governor's Mansion. Built of the finest materials, cypress and brick, eleven Carerra marble fireplaces from Italy- from the same quarry from which Michaelangelo obtained marble for his fabulous works- handcarved mahogany grand staircase, 300-pound walnut doors, and the 1844 Chickering grand piano which graced the parlor for Rivercene's first family remains there today.
