Description
Circa 1750. The Blue Ridge Mountains and Short Hill Mountain embrace a stone, stucco, and frame residence with views of grazing cattle from the porch. The inn features two guest rooms each with a private bath; Safe Harbor is a secluded retreat in an addition to the building and Sunrise/Sunset offers breathtaking views from an original part of the inn. A real country breakfast is served by candlelight in the dining room or on the front porch. Go outside to experience the wonders of nature while strolling through the gardens, challenging a friend on the life-size chess board, or bathing under the stars in the outdoor bathhouse. The raised arbor in the rose garden is a romantic spot for exchanging wedding vows with as many as 150 guests. Dance the night away in the restored 19th-century barn. Located one hour from Washington, D.C., the inn is situated in the middle of Loudoun Wine Country.
