Pretty Special Place of Rest

If you're going to drive seven hours to get somewhere, it better be pretty special. Snug Hollow is. The first reason you come here is to get away. If your idea of a vacation is an amusement park, rock concert or shopping mall, this is not your place. But if you want to step away from the hectic pace of life and just unwind for a week, Snug Hollow is it. There is no TV here. When you turn off paved Red Lick Road, you leave the internet behind. In case of emergency, Barbara can connect to it, but there's no one here on their cell phone or laptop. The pace of life slows wayyy down. It's a good place to read a novel. Or sit on the swing and watch the wild bees visiting the Goldenrod, Ironweed, Joe Pye Weed and other wildflowers. If you haven't played Chinese Checkers since childhood, this would be a fine time to refresh your skills. There's a piano by the fireplace, banjos on the shelves and a dulcimer leaning against a window. Books tempt you in every room. And all the artwork, some by Napier, is a hint you could try your hand at drawing or painting.

Most wonderful stay!!

I have the most wonderful time at Snug Hollow Farm. I felt like I was "home" - except for not having to clean or cook! :) I have stayed at several B&B's and have never had such a great experience. Beautiful setting, great rooms, perfect food and perfect hostess!

Best in the state!

Barbara Napier has done a premier job in making her B&B of 300 or so acres a delight to be there just during the day or staying for a longer time at one of the 'cabins' which are up to date and have all the necessary accommodations. The food is made fresh for each meal with the produce being freshly gotten from her garden or surrounding area ones A must see and stay!!!.

Snug Hollow Farm B&B

Snug Hollow Farmis located in the beutiful mountain area in Central Kentucky. Barbara created her own organic farm that boasts with gorgeous babbling creeks, wildflowers, a horse that loves to follow me and other little creatures, where simply living is upheld (no technology in this quiet place). The Bed & Breakfast food is amazing, homemade by Barbara herself and the dinners a delight - if you can't spend the night - go for dinner with family and friends. The two story farmhouse has bedrooms and private baths and her new cabins are beautiful and peaceful. You won't go wrong at Snug Hollow B&B and its owner the delightful Barbara Napier.

Special so very special is how we identify Snug Hollow. An oasis in an era seeking the same. Beautiful people gathering to appreciate the natural....one another and to recharge those batteries for returning to the world void of those peaceful get-a-ways.

Crazy Good Food, Dinner and a Show

I've had time out before but nothing quite like this experience. We spent a week there one weekend and had the time of our lives. So relaxing and inviting. The accommodations made me feel like visiting a my favorite aunt or such. Everything so comfortable and the food was crazy good. Just sitting around the fireplace with new friends and lots of laughs or walking the woods it just made me want more time to drink it all in and relax. Thanks guys it was one for the books. We will be back.

Awe Inspiriing

I visited Snug Hollow for one wonderful Saturday afternoon with my little 9 year old girl friend! We had a fabulous time. The luncheon was delicious and company even better. A rare treat for us. I envy people who can actually spend a day or two in this awe inspiring place. I will look back on that day with great fondness.

Snug Hollow is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!

I wanted to take my wife for a night away on her birthday. We found Snug Hollow online and it looked so charming. When we arrived, we were greeted with genuine warmth and kindness by Barbera, who owns the place. Barbera is a very sweet and spunky lady, the kind with whom you can laugh and converse effortlessly. She has a such a great spirit that you can't help but have your lifted just by being around her. It would be a disservice to call this place charming. I think enchanted is probably a better word. From the trails around the property, to the streams running through it, to the hammock overlooking the pond, this place will refresh your spirit and allow you to connect with yourself, your companion, your maker, or Mother Nature. We stayed in the Cozy cabin and it was very quaint. The food and service were both outstanding. We opted for dinner as well as breakfast, and I'm glad we did. The homemade vegetarian fare was amazing! I highly recommend getting the dinner too. We fell in love with snug hollow from the moment we stepped out of the car. We can't wait to come back and will do so regularly. What a special place! - Daniel Marlowe

Delicious

I had a wonderful weekend in a rustic Snug Hollow cabin and have enjoyed many delicious meals there (who knew vegetarian cooking could be so filling and sumptuous?!). I love the surroundings, the food and the great company (especially Speed Scrabble with Barbara).

Mrs.

My husband and I stayed at Snug Hollow twice. And we loved it both times. It's the peace, the hospitality, delicious food, cozy and homy cottage, the beauty of the Appilachian hills where Barbara Napie's Snug Hollow exists that draws me back. It reminds me of my childhood, where I grew up in Greenup County, Kentucky. All of the cottages and cabins are unique, as awe the suites at the main house. And the food, which is vegetarian, is amazing!

Realtor/Residential Appraiser for VA

I have stayed in several B&B's from Ky. to New Mexico. I can easily say Snug Hollow Farm Bed & Breakfast has been the most enjoyable, relaxing, beautilul, friendly, and cozy place I have stayed. I have several girl friends. We plan at least 2 trips a year, from the Gila Wilderness pack trip, to Montana dude ranch. But right here in Kentucky we have the best. Snug Hollow gets my first prize blue ribbon and trophy!
