Description

Circa 1882. Four generations of Standishes are associated with this Queen Anne Victorian house. The current owner is Norman Standish, descendant of Captain Myles Standish. Furnishings include English antiques from the 17th and 18th centuries and canopy beds. The second Saturday of November each year the innkeepers recreate the First Thanksgiving and they sponsor a series of lectures on early American history and Myles Standish for school groups. A full breakfast is served by candlelight in the formal dining room.
