Description

Circa 1785. Stroll the walking paths amid flower gardens, fruit trees and berry bushes on more than five acres that surround this early Colonial farmhouse. Numerous outdoor activities include croquet, volleyball, horseshoes and snowshoeing. Beamed guest bedrooms are tastefully furnished. Several feature pencil post canopy beds and antique soaking tubs. The Franklin Pierce Room, the first-floor master suite, boasts a fireplace as well. Early risers appreciate coffee or tea delivered to the door each morning. A hearty country breakfast is served in the dining room, open-air kitchen, patio or deck. The scenic area boasts many opportunities to visit historic sites, shop or experience local adventures.

Our home was built in 1785. The owners in the 1800s were personal friends of President Franklin Pierce (14th). He spent a significant amount of time at this home. Also part of the underground railroad.
