Great time.

We stayed here almost 2 yrs ago and still talk about. It was so much fun. The most interesting, magical, wonderful place I have ever stayed. We would love to go back at MA again and stay at this Inn. The location could not be more perfect. If you r looking for history or exploring while in Salem, this is the place.

Highly Recommended!

I love this place! My husband and I have stayed here three times and each stay was magical! Catherine is a wonderful hostess, so patient and warm, she took the time to guide us in the direction of Salem's "must see's" and her recommendations were spot on!You really can't beat this Inn for it's history, charm and wonderful hostess!

Magical

Beautiful home and wonderful host. Like stepping into the past, with wonderful nooks and crannies to explore. We only wish we had had more than one night here, as that was all we had allotted for Salem. Kay had great stories to share about the house and her time with it.

Warm, Beautiful, Cozy...

Our first time in Salem was made even better with our stay at the Steven Daniels House! It felt like we were a guest in someones home, almost like family! Mrs. Gill is a very sweet woman. There is so much history in the home, I love the dining room!

great stay

Don't forget to check all the drawers! Leave some change in the little ones, too! My daughter brought me back to New England after 38 years to see my home town, then we went onto Salem and what a wonderful place this was to stay. So comfortable, close to everything and Kay was great, too.

Salem historical inn

It's a lovely, cozy place to stay. Knowing it was over 300 years old is amazing. It's located in a very "New England" town with much history.

rude!!

I have wanted to visit this inn for yrs and when I finally got the chance to visit I called to get a reservation...the woman I spoke with couldn't have been more short with me or more unhelpful. When I asked if there were other places to stay close to her inn she did not offer any helpful tips then when told me she had 2 rooms available but she wouldn't rent them out in hopes a larger party MIGHT rent them...mind you we were not looking to visit until the end of oct!!! Rude and unhelpful and no manners. I am from texas where we are friendly and always helpful but apparently this person doesn't know the meaning of hospitality. I will never contact them again. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!

A charming step back in history.

My granddaughter & I felt welcomed the moment we stepped into the inn. We could roam around and examine the rooms and items from the past. The many notes hidden in the drawers made a connection with other people who had enjoyed the inn. Kay and Ana were helpful in directing us to the activities that would interest us.

InnSide Tip - Activities
The walk to most of the towns was nice. Swimming in the Atlantic Ocean in Marblehead was ten minutes away. The one hour Ferry to Boston was an added treat.

Journey to Times Past

My Boyfriend and I were visiting Salem for a Darkly Romantic Weekend. This was the B&B for us. It was Beautiful, and Spooky, and Antique. It was the closest I could get to the the true feel of Salem. It filled me with Wonder. It was the perfect escape from the annoyance of Modern Times. Our Hostess Kay was very Charming and Welcoming. I enjoyed the the Chats over Tea. The following morning we met Robin who helps out as well, and was equally as Warm and Welcoming. The 'Cherry on Top' was the Working Fireplace in our Room. How lovely it was to indulge in a fire before we retired for the Night.

InnSide Tip - Room Selection
Don't forget to look for the Notes in the Drawers. If you are a Lovers seeking a more Romantic Experience, I recommend the Great Room! <3 If its a more Ghostly Encounter, I think the Twin Room would be to your Liking, particularly the bed side with 2 windows and the 3 small Bookshelves built into the Wall. The Rose room is also pretty for a Female Traveler.

Perfect stay!!!

Very friendly owner, check in was pain less and we were given the run of the entire home! My sister and I are always looking for a good paranormal experience and this home did not let us down. We did here the "cat spirit" in the fire place in our room and around 2AM heard what sounded like a VERY large animal outside the door... then scratching "loud scratching in the walls behind our bed, not like squirrel or chipmunk scratching, giant like BEAR scratching, then nothing afterwards. We slept great and enjoyed Kays muffins and excellent perked coffee in the morning. The Back porch is a must see... beautiful garden and serene atmosphere for down time! Loved the place- will go back soon! Thank you Ms. Kay.

Best Bed & Breakfast in Salem

We have been to Salem on two prior occasions. This time we traveled with friends who had never been to Salem. We decided to stay in a home that is a true representation of Salem and its history. The house is extremely interesting with all its' nooks and crannies. The owner Kay, has filled her home with an amazing amount of antiques and encourages you to explore each room to get the full experience of the home. Kay is a lovely lady who is friendly and outgoing. Robyn, the house manager, is amazing! She made sure our rooms were always tidy and inviting and baked a delicious variety of muffins each morning to accompany fresh fruit, juice, coffee or tea. We enjoyed both Kay and Robyn's company at breakfast and then we set out to explore Salem. It was a relaxing place to return to after a busy day of sightseeing. If you want to truly experience history, stay at The Daniels House.
