Le Jardin

With a wonderful view of our Wedding Peristyle and Wintergreen Mountain, Le Jardin is the perfect setting to get in touch with your verdant nature. This room features a large sitting area with a handcrafted headboard trellis that grows on you and hand stenciling that puts beautiful garden flowers close at hand to assure sweet dreams. It comes equipped with two twin beds (which can be converted to a very comfortable king-size bed), a sofa bed, and antique clawfooted tub with shower. Rue de Monet

Soft pale yellows and blues adorn this quaint French Countryside room. In the late 19th Century when this home was expanded, our ancestors were fascinated by the exotic East. This oriental paradise is decorated with various paintings and carvings brought back from China. Cancellation

A full refund will be issued if cancellation is 15 days or more prior to arrival. If cancellation takes place 14 days or less prior to arrival the deposit will be good for up to 1 year.

Historic Interest

Dr. John Coleman Everett, who was the son of Thomas Jefferson's physician, bought the estate in 1884. He married Nelly Martin who became the first Postmistress of the town of Lodebar which is now Nellysford, named for her. They built the homestead and added a room each time one of their seven children were born.
