Description

Circa 1763. Meadows, stone walls and woods surround this country inn. Squire Tarbox built this rambling farmhouse around a building originally constructed in 1763. Today, the rooms are warm and comfortable in the inn and in the remodeled hayloft. A house-party atmosphere pervades the inn. Beaches, harbors and lobster shacks are some of the nearby visitor hot spots.

a rarity

Your hospitality was warm, friendly, well-managed and quite genuine. That's a rarity, and it's just the kind we feel best with.

A Feast for All Your Senses

I can't stop telling my friends abut this beautiful Innand its many lovely bedrooms and sitting rooms which is located in a natural country setting with a small farm that houses friendly goats, chickens, and roosters. Its organic gardens from wich come many of the natural ingredients found in the delicious and superb homemade meals servied in the main rustic dining room, fireplace and all, add so much and more to the excellence of this gem of a vacation spot in Mid-Coastal Maine across the bridge from the town of Wiscasset. My time spent there for 4 days in May of 2008 made this city girl's dreams come true. I can't thank the owners/Innkeepers Roni and Mario De Pietro enough for their warm and all encompassing hospitality and care which helped to make my brief vacation so very memorable. The total experience for me was delicious and truly a feast for all of one's senses. Don't pass up the opportunity to stop at this wonderful Inn if you ever get to Mid-Coastal Maine.
