Description
Circa 1912. This historic farmhouse has an infamous beginning, it was built by a member of a gang of claimjumpers who operated during the Gold Rush. The home affords stunning mountain and water views and is comfortably furnished. Breakfasts include fresh fruit and entrees such as sourdough pancakes with ham. The area offers many activities, including museums and a historic walking tour, skiing, snowshoeing, ice fishing, hiking, fishing and much more.

Confortable stay
Recently my Wife and I stayed at the Summer Inn for two nights and we found it to be confortable and very clean. The inn is centrally located in Haines, and you can walk to most places. The inn keeper was very friendly and she makes great cookies, and a good breakfast.

Winter Warmth
I was so glad that I stayed at the Summer in instead of anywhere else in town. The hostess, Jenty, was very accomodating, kept the place very clean, and made breakfasts to suit my desires. The house was pleasant and I was warm and comfortable the whole time. Thanks Jenty!

Wonderful
The Inn is precious and the innkeeper was most gracious. It was quiet and cozy. We felt very at home here. Located in this quiet, quaint town. Could walk to all restaurants and the grocery store. No taxi service to the inn. Make arrangements before going.
