Poor business practice--failure to refund deposit
I was so much looking forward to our visit to Grand Bank in July 2020, yet the Coronavirus prevented this from happening. When we made our reservation in February, a $100C deposit was taken from my credit card account. I phoned and emailed several times to cancel our reservation, starting more than two months prior to our scheduled date of stay, but I did not even receive an acknowledgement of my existence until over a month after my first attempt, after I had threatened to take action--the owner, Mr. Cornish, then promised a refund of my deposit within 10 days. It has been over one month since, and I have not received that refund. I have also not heard back from Mr. Cornish, again despite several attempts.
Save yourself the trouble and anguish of dealing with this business--there are many wonderful innkeepers who are more worthy of your patronage.
