Why Traveler's Love Bed & Breakfasts

Honeymoon Perfection
We recently married at the Black Bear Inn, on Thanksgiving day, things could not have gone any more perfectly. in fact, I wondered what we would do after the ceremony, because it was just the two of us. Well 2 hours went by being newly wed and just enjoying each other's company in the beautiful quiet romantic setting, it was more than I could have ever have dreamed of. absolutely perfect in everyway. Put the Magic Back into Marriage

We went to the Queen Victoria Inn for our 32nd anniversary. I must say after being there for the weekend we found out there is such a thing as a second honeymoon, and didn't realize it until that weekend. It's a getaway that you forget everything that is going on in your life and its just the two of you. We went back 2 1/2 months later and had the time of our lives. It did something to both of us, you just feel young again like you are starting all over for the first time. My husband and I are still talking about the place. Having breakfast on porch like no one else is around, sitting on the swing just talking, walking to the beach and the fine restaurants and each room has that magic romantic touch. I could just go on and on. We are looking forward to our next visit.

New Discoveries
Roger and Cecilia are very friendly and engaging. Roger's three-course breakfast is outstanding. The coffee, which he makes with a European machine that steams little coffee pods, was as light as a cappuccino yet with a robust French-roast flavor. In retrospect my only regret is that we didn't book two nights at The Blue Door. We'll remedy that when we visit again in the spring. The Blue Door on Baltimore is a winner in every respect!

Thanksgiving Getaway
Our six day stay at Traveler's Rest was one of the highlights of 2008. Adele is so attentive to details, generous with her home and a master of gourmet breakfast fare. The inn is very comfortable for both people and pups. C. Miller

Snuggling Holiday
We visited the, beautifully restored, Colonel Taylor Inn on Thanksgiving Weekend 2008   This was our second visit to the inn and we loved it just as much as the first time we stayed there. The inn was wonderfully decorated for the Christmas season. Combine that with the rich history involved with the house and property, and it transported us back to days of old. The room was cozy and comfortable. Although we had planned on venturing out to see the local sights, on the evening we arrived, we, instead, opted to snuggle in front of the working gas fireplace, It was a time spent together that we will cherish for years to come. Paul and Kathy Hatalsky

Great Girlfriend Getaways
I have stayed at the Carriage House in October for the last 3 yrs for a  Girlfriends B&B weekend and have had a wonderful time each year. The Innkeepers are fantastic. The food is wonderful. The snacks in the evening are great. We enjoyed it so much that I am taking my husband for a weekend in January/09 Kathleen Perkins

Moose, Scenery & Nurturing Delectables
My husband and I traveled to Maine, New Hamspshire and Vermont in October to view the fall foliage and stayed one night at the inn. The scenery around the inn was magnficent. We were fortunate to see a moose eating leaves off the side of the road on our drive there. Mary Ann warmly greeted us as we were walking up the drive and offered us a snack once we were settled in. Our room was cozy and comfortable. The next morning we were served breakfast consisting of Mary Ann's delicious maple syrup pancakes with a choice of ham, sausage or bacon. What a great way to start the day!  We enjoyed our brief stay with Mary Ann, where all of our needs were met. The Mount Washington Bed & Breakfast gets 4 hearts (all good) from us. Sheila Lipstreu

Soothing Luxurious Anniversary
This fall we traveled to the Berkshires to celebrate our 25th anniversary. Although we planned to bounce from place to place throughout New England, we settled into this beautiful romantic gem in the Berkshires. Everything was outstanding. The Inn, common areas and bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, the service impeccable, the breakfast delicious and the hosts, Ronnie and Bruce were so supportive. Before leaving we booked next year's stay. Chad – New York

Anniversary Adventure

My wife and I spent a night at The Blue Door for our anniversary last weekend. We live in suburban Washington, DC and have family in Baltimore. Accordingly, we're quite familiar with the city. The Blue Door, however, was a revelation. Our stay was superb and, thanks to innkeepers Cecilia & Roger, we discovered the quaint Canton area along the waterfront east of Fells Point, of which we were previously unaware. We arrived on an unusually frigid and snowy early December Saturday afternoon. Roger and Cecilia greeted us warmly and gave us a thorough overview of the inn, our room, and the neighborhood (Butcher's Hill, which is located just east of downtown.) We asked Cecilia for a seafood dinner recommendation and she directed us to Mama's On The Half Shell in the Canton area on the waterfront.  Canton is a wonderful little neighborhood approximately a five-minute drive down the hill from the B&B. (In pleasant weather you can probably walk it easily in 25 minutes and take a route through Patterson Park, which is west of the B&B.)  We spent the rest of the evening in our room, which was luxurious and quiet. We were on the back of the house. We felt as though we had our own little Baltimore row-house hideaway for the night.

Celebration Vacation
I came across 10 Fitch while looking for a place to take my wife for our two year wedding anniversary and to celebrate the birth of our first son. It couldn't have been a better choice. We had the most romantic stay while we toured the Finger Lakes wine country. The room was absolutely beautiful. We sipped local wine by the fire prepared for us by the inn keepers. We felt as if we were staying at a five star resort with all the intimacy of a private luxury suite. To sum up the two night stay in one statement, my wife told me, "this is the most romantic time I've ever had sweetie! I don't want to leave." And we honeymooned in Hawaii.  Christopher R.

Romantic Getaway Close to the Babies
The Fleur-de-Lys Mansion was the perfect destination for us for our 10th anniversary. With 3 preschoolers at home, going away seems daunting. Living locally, we could get away for a night for a romantic getaway. Jan and Dave did not disappoint. Everything was planned so well and we felt like a king and queen with the wonderful carriage ride around the park, the amazing dinner and the AMAZING bedding and a great breakfast. We can hardly wait to return...and stay longer!  We recommend the FDL mansion to everyone if they are looking for a quick getaway, or a place to stay when just visiting our lovely St. Louis. Thank you Jan & Dave for the memories.  Kate T.

Great Value
An excellent Bed and Breakfast (Neset-Roe Inn) with beautiful rooms full of amenities, a most wonderful breakfast, a host who took great care of us, and the perfect location to enjoy the best of a charming downtown. A great value for what was provided, our room (the suite) was very spacious with a wonderful 2-person hot tub at a rate that was incredibly affordable. Add in the delicious breakfast and the tips on local places to visit during our stay during the December "Victorian Holiday" weekend festival in downtown Stoughton, and it was a stay to remember. We highly recommend this jewel of a B&B to anyone wanting a luxurious-feeling vacation in a quaint town with much to offer at a great value. D. Kennedy

Southern Hospitality
The innkeepers at Inn on Main were very knowledgeable and helpful in recommending restaurants, places to go, and directions. Dan and Nancy made superb breakfasts!  We had six and they were all good- especially enjoyed the muffins, fruit, French toast, and Fruitattas! Quaint inn close to Asheville and many attractions- hiking, rafting, massages, touring, shopping, and more. Loved our room!  Fireplace really romantic and bed was comfortable. Enjoyed other guests (made some new, great friends) and the evening socials. Great place for younger and older couples to relax. This is down home southern hospitality.  We will be visiting again and have recommended it to friends and family!  Lee K.

Never Too Late for Romance or The Best Time of Our Lives
I will always treasure the time here. It's the best time of our lives (and we're old.)  MacCallum House and staff added to our special time. The room 32 was so well appointed that it made our stay even more perfect. We waited a long time to find the happiness we have in each other & our honeymoon was worth the wait. C & E
