Description

Circa 1792. Sitting on 10 park-like acres high above the Delaware River, this tranquil retreat features a stone manor, carriage house and two barns. The inn is surrounded by 300 acres of rolling farmland and forest, and panoramic vistas often are enjoyed from the welcoming porches. All the guest bedrooms and suites offer fresh flowers, CD players and library, plush terry robes, feather beds with canopy, four-poster or twig headboards and Egyptian cotton linens and towels. Many also boast private entrances and two-person whirlpool tubs. Enjoy complimentary soft drinks and bottled water as well as afternoon refreshments and snacks. A satisfying country breakfast may include Grand Marnier French toast, vegetable frittata with homemade turkey sausage and apple-blueberry streusel en papillote. Breakfast in bed is available upon request. After a stroll through gardens and meadows, visit the nearby sites in Bucks County, Newhope and Lambertville.

CHELSEA

We loved the Woolverton Inn and stayed in "Amelia's Suite." This Inn is an ideal setting for a Jersey couple, looking for a special B&B Wedding setting. Because of the Inn's substantial acreage -- I'd guess around 14 acres -- there is total privacy -- nothing insight, except for the Woolverton grounds. A large tent is usually set up, close to the main house, ready for a Wedding. There is a private Garden Cottage on the grounds -- how perfect for Newly-Weds. It's separate from the main house and the 5 lovely, private cottages, that are also on the grounds. Any one of the five cottages are also "honeymoon-worthy" and security personnel can be very close by. The main house has 8 lovely rooms, for guests, that may have to stay overnight. At night, we looked out of our second floor windows and saw a sea of twinkling fire-flies outside. So many... It was adorable and magical!

A Chelsea-like venue

Here is an Inn that offers seclusion, a picturesque setting, and excellent accommodations and service.

Romance close to home

The Woolverton Inn is fantastic! We wanted a romantic getaway in January and stayed in "Amelia's Suite". It was luxurious and comfortable! We loved the canopy bed, jacuzzi, fireplace, and snuggling on the window seat to read and watch the sheep grazing outside the window. The breakfasts were gourmet experiences! I printed some of the chef's recipes from the inn's website to use at home. We can't wait to go back!
