This inn is so-named because of its location overlooking the York River. Rooms are appointed in an elegant, Colonial style and are stocked with helpful amenities such as irons, ironing boards and hair dryers. Each of the three guest quarters include a sitting area with a TV, VCR and desk. The innkeeper, a native Virginia and former supervisor at Colonial Williamsburg, is full of historic knowledge. Yorktown, where the Revolutionary War ended, offers many historic sites.
