One of the BEST
We have stayed at many B&Bs over the years, but the 1840s Carrollton Inn is by far one of the best. Completely renovated in 2007, the rooms still echo their famous history, yet are replete with modern conveniences like remote controlled fireplaces, whirlpool bathtubs etc. The inn is only two blocks from “Little Italy” with dozens of great Italian restaurants from which to choose. It is also walking distance (about ¾ mile) from Baltimore’s historic Inner Harbor.
The staff treats you like cherished family members. Breakfast is chosen from an extensive list the evening before. Special orders are also available. We stayed in the Congressional Room (202). The bed was extremely comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious. The central air-conditioning kept the room comfortable without any noise, very unusual for an historic B&B. If your travel plans include Baltimore, MD, don’t even think about staying anywhere except the 1840s Carrollton Inn.

Romantic getaway
We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary by traveling to Baltimore. The 1840s Carrollton Inn was perfect and romantic. We were within walking distance to the inner harbor and the Italian district, where we ate dinner each night. I had eggs benedict for breakfast both mornings! Our king four poster bed was very comfortable and the room was beautifully decorated. We really enjoyed our stay at the Carrollton Inn.
