I would go back in a heartbeat!
This is our second time at the Bay View B&B and we can't wait to go back again. The B&B is charming, has a great location with views of the harbor and street with beautiful houses, and very, very clean. The staff are friendly, charming and very fun. Breakfast is great, warm cookies served at 3:00 and a dessert to die for at 8:00. Coffee always available and lemonade also provided with cookies. They have rooms of all sizes. The room we had this time was small, but we knew we would be outside in the warm weather more. One October, we had a suite, which was huge and had a kitchenette, living room area, king bed, jacuzzi, good sized bathroom, and it's own balcony, so if room size is important, then ask. It's an old home, so room sizes vary greatly, but the charm is most important along with the staff and owners. They know how to do it right and make you feel very welcome. The house is beautiful, the flowers are gorgeous, there are ample places to sit and watch the world go by. A fantastic front porch, a great sun deck to snooze on or watch the boats come into the harbor, little tables and chairs outside in many places. Quaint, comfortable, charming, warm and friendly. We plan to go back when time and finances allow and wouldn't want to stay anywhere else. Even the beds are top notch! I have a bad back and slept like a log in their comfortable beds! You can't go wrong at the Bay View!

A Never to be Forgotten Experience
Mackinac Island is one of my very favorite places to visit and of course, Bay View is THE place to stay. It is right on the water and close enough to walk to everything. I saw several of the rooms and they were all lovely. We stayed on the second floor and had a small balcony overlooking a park and the marina, as well as the Fort and part of downtown. I can't begin to describe how great the meals were and the cookies and evening desserts were superb also. The entire staff, was so friendly that we soon knew them all by name and knew a little about each of them. And if you aren't a coffee drinker when you arrive don't be surprised if you are one when you leave. The Bay View coffee is like none I've ever tasted. I can't wait for our next visit. I love getting up early and sitting on the balcony listening to the horses making their morning deliveries. If you have plans to visit the island I highly suggest that you check into staying at Bay View.
