Circa 1886. Recently refurbished by the new owners, Catherine Ward House offers updated amenities, decor and furnishings. Built in 1886, this High Victorian Italianate in the low country of Savannah, Georgia, sits a half-block from popular Forsyth Park in the Victorian District. This elegant yet comfortable bed and breakfast boasts a relaxing courtyard with fishpond and fountain or gather for conversation in the parlor. All of the guest bedrooms feature a fireplace, some
functional while others accent the ambiance. Stay in a room with a two-person Jacuzzi that opens onto a balcony or porch. Appointments can be made for an in-room massage from a licensed masseuse. Historic Interest

Built in 1886 for Catherine Ward. House was one of many saved by the Historic Savannah Foundation at the encouragement of Jim Williams. Our parlor is unique in that the double parlor has always been "open" - the archway separating our dining area and sitting area is original to the property, there was not a set of pocket doors separating the two areas when the house was constructed.

The Perfect, Romantic Getaway!

Savannah was the first stop for my wife and I on a three city Southeast coast trip. While all of the places we stayed were great, the Catherine Ward House was the spot we vowed to come back to! Our list of compliments includes: The home had great architecture and details. Our room was lovely, clean and private. The breakfast delicious and they easily accommodated our vegetarian diet. But the biggest thing was the staff was amazing. They truly demonstrated “Southern Hospitality” during the entire stay. They were friendly, helpful, informative and made our stay a delight! I cannot recommend this the Catherine Ward House enough.

Although it has all the amenities, the carriage house rates are more affordable.. and the rooms are also very private.
