ROMANCE!!

We had a great time at the Gastonian. We had booked a special anniversary package and the staff took care of all the details. W had a carriage ride, champagne, dinner voucher (loved the Sapphire Grill) and chocolate covered strawberries. We really enjoyed meeting some of the otherguests during tea time as well - breakfast was always a great start in the morning! We will come back!

Could not have asked for more!

We come down to Savannah often to visit our daughter, who has now made Savannah her home. We usually stay at a hotel along the riverfront but this time we decided to stay at a bed and breakfast and came upon the Gastonian through the web. We could not have asked for a better experience! Upon our arrival, the Innkeeper, Melanie, greeted us along with the concierge, Joe, and the bellman, Walter. We stayed in the Eli Whitney Room, which had a queen-sized bed, a large walk-in shower, a shared balcony and a working fireplace (and considering we were staying at the beginning of February, we made plenty of use out of the fireplace). I can honestly say that we had the best sleep ever on this bed! In addition, each night they would do a turndown service of our bedroom while we were at dinner and left us some tasty pralines and a charming weather card, to let us know what to expect for the next day. The big test was the food. Breakfast was amazing! We could have breakfast served family style downstairs or have it brought up to our room on a silver tray- now that is service! We decided to have our breakfast downstairs so we could socialize with the other guests and meet the chefs. They made these wonderful muffins with dried fruit and incredible scones, both of which the staff gladly shared the recipes for. I ordered myself an omelet with spinach and goat cheese, which was outstanding. It came with apple smoked bacon and cheese grits; it was a true Southern breakfast. Our concierge our first morning was Karen and she gladly assisted us by giving us several suggestions of things to do. After walking and shopping with my daughter all day, we finally decided to take advantage of the afternoon goodies! They had several bottles of wine set up along with some wonderful hors d’oeuvres from their cookbook, including their Vidalia Onion Bites and Up-Country Party Spread. Yum! In the latter part of the evening, Joe set up a wonderful dessert platter for everyone in the dinning room, which included these Mini-Lemon Cakes and Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies. Everything was delicious! The staff that cooked for us in the morning actually created these wonderful desserts for the evening. They also had a very lovely port and peach schnapps available each evening, which was a nice topper. I think that between the staff hospitality, the great food and impeccable rooms, it is safe to say that we will be coming back to stay at the Gastonian every time we visit our daughter from now on. Thank you!

Pure Romance

My boyfriend surprised me with a weekend at the Gastonian and he could not have picked a better place for us. The front desk staff was extremly pleasant and helpful. We chose to have breakfast served in the room every morning and loved it!!! Savannah is a beautiful city - our favorite dinner was a Garibaldis! Make sure to go there when visiting Savannah.

Most romantic B&B in Savannah

We have been in Savannah many times and our tradition was to always try a new B&B. No more - we have enjoyed our stay at the Gastonian so much that we will come back from now on. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, the food good and plenty and the location is great!!

most romantic stay ever

I stayed at the Gastonian for the third time and just love this beautiful most romantic Inn. There is nothing to improve. Staff is excellent, friendly and caring. The Inn is beautifully furnished and decorated and gives you a warm and homy feeling. I wish I could stay forever.

ROMANTIC

This was the most beautiful Inn I have EVER stayed at. The staff and management is top shelf and I would recommend this Inn to anyone. I have been there 2 times and have had a different room each time and have not been disappointed either time. When I was there, I sneaked into some of the other rooms and it all is beautiful. My son and his wife stayed in the honeymoon suite and they said it was unbelieveable.

GREAT B&B!!

A great city to visit and a great B&B to enjoy. You are really pampered there. Excellent ratings except for condition, but "good" because of the age of the structure (only really noticeable from outside). All visitors are in for a special treat.
