“Excellent Location, Breakfast, Hosts and Value”

I travel to Lancaster county often from Philadelphia but usually just for the day. Since it was Valentine's day weekend we decided to stay in a bed and breakfast. This 200 year old farm house was beautifully decorated. The breakfast was excellent! The hosts know so much about the area and have great suggestions for restaurants and places to go that you are not going to find from tourist centers. The location was great. You are a very short drive to the great downtown of Lititz and you are right in the middle of the most picturesque farmlands of Lancaster county. The value was great. I don't know why anyone would stay in a hotel when you can get such personalized attention in a much better atmosphere with real food. This was an experience not just a stay. A+ all around!

“B&B is a gem, a true reflection of hospitality!”

This B&B is a warm welcoming reflection on how a "getaway" can make you enjoy the Lancaster countryside. This area is fields of corn, sunsets, and farms - all beautiful. The location is perfect 40 minutes from Hershey Park, close to Mount Hope Estate & Winery/ Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire, antique stores, and Amish country. We stayed in The Garden Room, which was beautiful - but all the rooms are wonderful. It was difficult to choose which room to stay in for the weekend. Cheryl and Barry Wissler own and operate the B&B and made you feel as it was home away from home. As soon as you enter the Clearview you step back in time. A time where the attention to detail is appreciated. The decorating is meticulous, you feel you have gone back to the 1800s, but with all the amenities of here and now. For our dinner we took advantage of the arrangement to have supper with a nearby Amish family. It was a delicious wonderful experience that I highly recommend to anyone. The family was warm and welcoming, it was so nice to see first hand how they live and experience their customs. The ride back and forth from the B&B is scenic and enjoyable as well. The breakfast the next day at the B&B was delicious with fruit, muffins, bacon and a quiche that is to die for! We loved having our coffee outside on the white chairs, staring over the pond at the swans as the sun came up. The morning dew hanging on every flower in the garden, not a noise in the area but the birds chirping. Fish love to jump in the pond in the morning so it is fun to just enjoy the relaxing nature watching the B&B provides. I highly recommend the facility and we cannot wait to go back in the fall.

“A Warm, Welcoming Haven in Amish Country”

Atop a hill and surrounded by farmlands, Clearview Farm Bed and Breakfast provides a hearty, delicious start to the morning and a peaceful place of rest after a long day of touring, shopping, Amish watching, and covered bridge hunting. The house and room are beautifully appointed with antiques and hand-made quilts. The Garden Room, where we stayed for five nights, has everything we needed. The bed is comfortable and the room is big enough so we never felt cramped. Downstairs there are two sitting rooms and a large dining room. Our breakfasts started with fresh fruit and moved on to muffins or coffee cake, crepes, quiche, pancakes, waffles and bacon, ham, or locally made sausage. It was enough that we only had two meals a day. The owner is friendly and knows the area well, so she can give directions and suggestions. I don't think I would stay anyplace else in Lancaster County.
