Description
Circa 1804. Originally a stagecoach stop and tavern, the chef-owned and operated Coach Stop Inn is Bar Harbor's oldest inn. Built in 1840 during Thomas Jefferson's presidency more than 200 years ago, the inn's ambiance reflects that era. Relax and feel refreshed by the country setting that is surrounded by colorful gardens and antique apple trees. Jeff and Natalie pay attention to details and offer an incredible three-course breakfast and other culinary treats during the day that delight the taste buds. Maine's popular sites like Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park are easily accessed from the central location of this inn.
