Description

Circa 1896. For more than a century, the Five Gables Inn has perched on a garden-framed hillside overlooking Linekin Bay. This coastal Maine Inn was originally built in 1896 and underwent an exciting restoration in 1989 which brought back to life one of the only remaining summer hotels in East Boothbay, Maine. Guests now relax and enjoy the tranquility of East Boothbay by lounging near the living room fireplace with a book or magazine or sitting back in a rocking chair on the porch, enjoying the gentle sea breezes coming off the bay. A five-minute drive puts you in the middle of Boothbay Harbor with windjammers, trips to Monhegan Island, kayaking, hiking, whale watching, lobster dining, galleries and shopping.
