Honeymoon Heaven

My husband and I recently had such a wonderful time staying at Pensione Nichols in Seattle that I had to write about our adventure. We came in March for our honeymoon and were surprised by the beautiful view of the ocean from our window. Not only could we see the boats and the clouds rolling in, but we were able to walk down to the Pikes Place market and buy the most amazing seafood (try halibut cheeks!). I even was able to cook a simple, romantic pasta dinner our first night. Later on in the week, we returned from a visit to the Yakima Valley (wine country) and the innkeeper Richard invited us to store our luggage and served up coffee and breakfast in the lobby. We were on our way out of town, but this kind gesture really complimented the hospitality we enjoyed while staying there. Other families seemed to enjoy the rooms and the daily breakfast spread as much as we did. Thanks, Rebecca Koopman
