Creme Brulee French Toast
Description:
A twist to the original French Toast. This is a great recipe for those who like to indulge in breakfast. Serve this with the traditional syrup or a berry glaze. Delicious! Ingredients: 1 stick of Butter 1 cup brown sugar 2 Tablespoons Agave Syrup or Corn Syrup An 8 to 9 inch round loaf of sour dough bread 5 Large eggs 1 1/2 cups of half & half 1 teaspoon Vanilla 1 teaspoon Grand Marnier 1/4 teaspoon salt Directions: Prep: In a small heavy sauce pan melt brown sugar butter and agave syrup over moderate heat, stirring, until smooth and pour into a 13-9 inch glass pan. Cut six 1 inch thick slices from bread, fix them in to slightly touching. In a bowl whisk together eggs, half & half, vanilla, Grand Marnier, and salt until well blended, pour over the bread, and chill at least over night. Preheat oven to 350* , bake until bread is pale golden brown, about 35 to 40 minutes. Serve Hot French Toast Immediately!
