French Toast Casserole

Delicious oven-baked french toast. Easy preparation the night before. Place in the oven in the morning and let the aroma fill your home with cinnamon and hot bread. Place the dish in the center of your table and watch them dig in and go back for more.

Bread Mix:
1 loaf French Bread
3 Eggs
3 Tbs. Sugar
1 tsp. Vanilla
2 1/4 Cup Milk
1Tbs. Cinnamon
Topping Mix:
6 Tbs Brown Sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon (more or less)
1/4 Cup Butter
1/2 Cup Flour

Grease 9 x 13 Pan.
Diagonally cut bread into 1" slices and place in pan, filling all spaces.
Mix Eggs, Sugar, Milk & Vanilla well.
Slowly pour half the liquid mixture over bread slices to coat evenly.
Sprinkle one half the cinnamon over top
Turn slices over and pour other half of liquid mixture and cinnamon over top.
Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Before baking, turn slices over again and add topping mix.
Prepare topping in food processor (using frozen butter, cut small).
Place in 350* oven for 30 - 40 minutes, until cooked thoroughly and golden brown.
Serve with warm Maple Syrup.
