Holiday Pudding W/ Bourbon Sauce

Description: Bardstown, KY is the Bourbon Capital of the world. The local ingredients is what makes the bourbon special. With the homegrown grain and limestone water, it's perfect. Ingredients: 4 egg yolks 2 eggs 1 1/2 cup sugar 1 1/2 cups pecans 1 1/2 cups currants 1 1/2 cups crushed lemon wafers 1 1/2 tbls. vanilla 1 1/12 tbls. melted butter 5 tbls. good KY Bourbon Bourbon Sauce 2 cups bown sugar 1 tbls. butter 1 heaping tbls. flour 1 cup hot water 1/2 cup good KY Bourbon Directions: Pudding Beat eggs until light, add sugar and beat, add butter, wafers, vanilla and Bourbon. Then add currants and nuts. Mix well. Cook in a greased pan lined with greased wax or brown paper. Cook i hour in very slow oven (325*) Done when a crust forms on top. Bourbon Sauce Cream butter, sugar and flour. Add a little water at a time. Put in double boiler, cook until thick. When it cools to warm, add 1/2 cup good KY Bourbon. Serve warm on top of pudding.
