Morning MelonIngredients: 1 melon 1 orange 1 jar of maraschino cherries toothpicks Directions: Take the melon and with a sharp knife cut the melon in half. Take the melon halves and cut them in half also. Then take your melon quarters and cut them in half again, so you have 8 melons slices. Take one of the melon slices and separate the fruit from the rind by taking the knife and holding it as close to the rind as you can and cut. This technique will help you to be able to get as much fruit as you can. Repeat this step with all of the melon slices. Next, place the fruit into the rind and carefully cut the fruit 6 times, so that way it forms rows without cutting the rind. Then, leaving the tips of the fruit where they are, take the fruit that looks like squares and slide them in a zig-zag formation that way they balance on the rind. Take the orange and slice it thinly. Take a thinly sliced orange and a toothpick and put the toothpick through it so that way it looks like a sail. Place a cherry at the top of the orange sail and put the sail on the third melon row. This is a great way to start any breakfast. Recipe Summary: Comments: |
