Simone's Scones
Description:
Always a favorite at my breakfast table. This recipe is one of many at Groveland and this one is particularly easy using a food processor makes it a snap. Ingredients: 2 C. flour 2 T. baking powder 10 dried plums 10 dried apricots about 1 cup heavy whipping cream 2 T. Butter melted 2 tsp. Sugar Directions: Put the flour, baking powder and fruit in the bowl of the food processor. Using the pulse button, pulse about 8 to 10 times or until dried fruit is in small pieces, drizzle the cream in while pulsing just until dough holds together. Knead the dough a few times and form into a sausage shape. Cut into 3 pieces. Flatten each third to about 2" thick and cut into 4 pieces, brush with melted butter and sprikle with sugar. Bake at 375 for about 15 min or until nicely browned. Serve with jam and butter. Recipe Summary: Yield: 12 Prep Time: 5 minuites Cook Time: 15 Comments: |
