Wild Rice Quiche
Description:
This twist to quiche is one of our guests favorites. Even our "men" eat this quiche. Go ahead and make your morning prep easier by using a premade pie crust, canned cooked wild rice and frying your bacon the day ahead. You may make this without the men Ingredients: 1 9 inch deep dish pie crust 1/2 lb. bacon (browned) 1 cup cooked wild rice 1 c. shredded Swiss cheese 4 green onions sliced (use tops also) 6 large eggs 1 c. whipping cream 1/2 tsp of salt and pepper You may add mushrooms if you like. Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brown and drain bacon. Break into bits. Mix together the bacon, cheese, wild rice and green onions. Put into the unbaked pie crust. Break the eggs into a bowl and whisk together until well mixed, add the whipping cream, salt and pepper, whisk until blended together. Pour over the ingredients in the pie crust. Place the pie pan on a cookie sheet and place into the preheated oven. Bake for 45 minutes or until the center is firm.
