Tower Room

The Tower Room The Tower Room is located on the second floor and overlooks historic Front Street. It has a queen-sized bed and features a luxurious bathroom with a deep slipper tub and separate shower. The rate is $175 per night. For guests desiring separate bedrooms or for two couples or a family traveling together, the Tower Room can be expanded into a two bedroom suite by opening up the Governor Burton Room, located on the opposite side of the bathroom, which is then shared by the occupants of the two rooms. The rate for this two bedroom suite is $275 per night. The Tower and Governor Burton Rooms are ideal for guests who like bright, sunny rooms with lots of window space. The bathroom has both a tub and a separate shower.

Rates: $175 - $175

Type of bed: Queen

Garden Room

The Garden Room is located on the second floor and overlooks the garden. It has a double bed, a large window seat and a sitting area with couch and armchair. The bathroom contains a deep vintage bathtub with shower attachments. While the bathroom is adjacent to the bedroom and is private, it is accessed via the hall. The rate is $150 per night. This is the quietest guestroom as it is on the garden side of the house. Most on one wall is taken up with a triple window and window seat that faces north and provides an excellent view onto the garden. Over the bed hangs a painting on a large porcelain disk. It depicts the goddess Venus (or Aphrodite) and her son Cupid (or Eros). The goddess, who is jealous of the beauty of a mortal woman named Psyche, is sending her son off to use his golden arrows to cause Psyche to fall in love with the ugliest man on earth. (Cupid agreed--but then fell in love with Psyche after he accidentally pricked himself with his arrow!)

Rates: $150 - $150

Type of bed: Queen

Birds Nest Suite

The Bird's Nest Suite is located on the third floor. It is often used as our honeymoon suite. The Victorian double bed has a beautifully carved walnut head and footboard. There are two sitting areas, one with a faux fireplace. A modern bathroom (with shower) is located within the suite. The rate is $165 per night. Appropriate for a honeymoon suite, the Bird's Nest is decorated with prints of Raphael's puti (cherubs), a daguerreotype of a little girl, a 19th century painting of a mother sheltering her two infants and a fetching statue of a nude with parrots-sculpted by an Austrian and discovered by the Bonds in Cape Town, South Africa.

Rates: $165 - $165

Type of bed: Queen

Rapunzel Suite

The Rapunzel Suite is located on the third floor. It has a queen-sized bed with the headboard canopy created from a portion of window molding from a 18th century French mansion. The ceiling over the bed soars to over ten feet and is illuminated by a crystal chandelier. There are two sitting areas and a "lovers' alcove" lined with pillows. A short passageway leads onto a tiny porch in the tower. A modern bathroom with both shower and slipper tub is located within the suite. The rate is $175 per night. The suite's name comes from the 1812 Brothers Grimm fairy tale "Rapunzel". The well-know line from that tale--"Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair"-is spoken by a Prince calling to a Maiden locked in a tower. He wants her to let down her long braids of hair so that he may climb up them to reach her. If Rapunzel stayed in this room she could do just that, because the tower porch is open to the outside and would allow her to gain access to her suitor-if her braids were very, very long.

Rates: $175 - $175

Type of bed: Queen

Wonderful Weekend

We had a wonderful weekend at The Towers. My girlfriend had made all the arrangements and asked me to just show up for a great time. It was more than we had expected. If you ever have a chance to stay here we recommend the Rapunzel Suite, with it's lovers alcove, or the Tower Room with the beautiful bathroom. Both are excellent choices for two lovers. Steven & Kim

Amazing

My husband and I just returned home from a night in the Rapunzel room. The entire experience was one I will always remember. The entire house is absolutely amazing. We were welcomed from the front door and the owners went out of their way to make us feel very comfortable. The house is just a short drive to the beach where we enjoyed sushi for dinner. The next morning we had a wonderful, delicious breakfast.I will return to this house any chance I get.

delight

My husband and I just got back from a two-night stay at The Towers in Milford, Del., and already are thinking of going back. The owners, Daniel and Rhonda Bond, were a delight; our room was spacious and well appointed; and breakfast and the complimentary sherry were wonderful. We would definitely recommend this place to our friends. Cathy Jett

romantic charm

The Towers welcomed us from our first steps through the lavender-edged garden. Our spacious third floor retreat was luxuriously appointed with antique furniture, Victorian decor and modern indulgences. We loved the privacy, but also enjoyed meeting some of the other guests at the gourmet breakfast in the beautiful sunroom. Dan and Rhonda are warm and knowledgeable hosts with recommendations for beaches to visit, restaurants to sample, and even gave a tour of this delightful small Delaware town.

Escape from the real world

My husband and I stayed in the Rapunzel Suite for our anniversary in the spring. Lovely, lovely room. The rest of Towers is equally impressive when admiring the architecture, appointments and hospitality of the innkeepers. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfasts that were served during our stay - eggs Benedict one morning and delicious pancakes the next. Fresh fruit served beforehand. We also were lucky enough to arrive in time to see hundreds of ladybugs in the garden. We had just missed the ladybug celebration that takes place in Milford annually, but since the innkeepers are involved in the celebration, we got to admire the little beauties that were still in the garden. We enjoyed a very peaceful and relaxing weekend. We'd definitely recommend a visit.

Our Fall Stay at The Towers

My husband and I took a trip down to Delaware to go to the Annual Punkin Chunkin festival and we made it a weekend by spending the night at the Towers B & B. The Inn is beautiful with the intricate woodwork through out and the stained glass windows just take your breath away. We stayed in the Bird's Nest Suite on the 3rd floor and the room was perfect! While staying we took a short drive to nearby Rehoboth were we strolled the shops and walked on the beach (the weather that weekend was unusually warm) I am looking forward to coming back to the Towers this summer for a getaway weekend and time at the beach. As a previous B & B Innkeeper, I would highly recommend this B & B to everyone!

Lovely inn within quiet, small town

All beautiful guest rooms, lovely bath facilities, and fine furniture appointments. The hosts are especially relaxed and comfortable - attuned to being there when you need them and knowing when you'd like to be on your own. Situated within walking distance of a small scale downtown, which includes a fine bakery, several gift shops, an afternoon tea spot, and a riverwalk.

Relaxing getaway!

We loved the Towers B&B. It was far enough from the beach that we didn't have to deal with all the traffic, yet close enough that we could enjoy the sun and surf as we pleased. The pool was an added bonus. The food was great, rooms beautiful and cozy, and Dan and Rhonda were great hosts! We're looking forward to our return this year.

Romantic

The Towers B&B is an excellent choice for a stay that is comfortable and a real treat. The hosts were very welcoming, knew the area and were happy to share information. The breakfasts were tasty and satisfying. The property was stunning and furnishings appropriate for the inn. Lovely. We intend to return.

Just Beautiful!

My husband and I make it a point of trying to stay at B&B's whenever we travel, so we have stayed at many. I can honestly say that Towers Bed and Breakfast was the most beautiful place we've visited thus far. It becomes apparent the moment one enters that this home is loving cared for. It has definitely retained all the glory of the past. On the morning we were leaving, Daniel prepared a wonderful breakfast of ricotta pancakes! We visited Towers in November 2008 and we still can't stop thinking about them! We look forward to staying at Towers again in the near future. It was a lovely, lovely experience.

Amazing!

I grew up in Milford and have watched the Towers go from neglected to the most beautiful Victorian home. It is truly an amazing place to see and then to actually stay in one of it's grad rooms is the most wonderful experience. The hospitality is warm and generous. Ask for Ricotta pancakes! Yum! Close to the beach resorts just adds to the charm. We stay in many different bed and breakfast and this is by far our favorite!

Cozy and Romantic

We had the pleasure of staying at the Towers B&B this fall and truly enjoyed the experience. The towers is a quaint inn, tastefully decorated and well maintained. The hosts Rhonda and Dan are most gracious and accommodating. Rhonda is a wonderful cook and the breakfasts we had there were simply delicious. The towers is a perfect getaway and takes you back in time.

Beautiful historic B&B

I had a pleasure to stay at this historic B&B back in Feb 2008. Due to my schedule, I arrived pretty late but the owner happily welcomed me and spent some time to show me around. It has a beautiful, large living room with an antique piano where their guest can relax with a cuppa tea. the dining room was spacious as well and the breakfast was fantastic. Each room has its won charm. I highly recommend this B&B.

A Magical, Romantic Weekend

We had a delightful stay at the Towers B&B this weekend. Avoid the traffic on your way to the beach and spend a night or two in this elegant yet charming Victorian inn. The hosts, Rhonda and Dan, were charming as well. We intend to return again and again.

InnSide Tip - Explore the Town
There are some charming shops in town. Check out the EcoChic 'earth-friendly' boutique, the Health Food store across the street, the corner art gallery, and the Lady Bug Shop, all within a short walk of The Towers. Don't miss a gourmet dinner at Abbott's Grill. A good place for lunch is the Georgia House restaurant; their crab cake is better than those I had in Rehoboth.

Blown away

I can't say enough good things about The Towers! My husband and I stayed here on our wedding night, and Erin and Nicholas went out of their way to make sure our stay was extra special. We stayed in The Tower room, which was very nice. It was the perfect mix of Victorian architecture and modern amenities. You definitely don't want to skip breakfast - Erin is an amazing cook! All and all, our stay at The Towers has ruined my husband and I for hotels, and we are already planning a trip back.

My fiancé and I stayed her for a much needed date night out. Let me tell from the time we stepped into the B&B we were in love with the place. The atmosphere was exactly what we needed and we have reserved another stay again this time for our wedding. Cannot wait to stay here again. Romantic and warm welcoming. This is our little hide away.
