Description

Circa 1890. This Queen Anne Victorian is stunning inside and out. Its exterior is that of a true "Painted Lady," done in shades of goldenrod and a deep green, with intricate trim. The palatial interior has been painstakingly restored, including the near dozen fireplaces, shining parquet floors and beautiful woodwork. Stained-glass windows add to the Victorian ambiance, as do the variety of fine antiques that fill the home. Each bedchamber has a fireplace, and some have whirlpool tubs. William Sauntry, a prominent lumber baron, built the 25-room manor, and it is listed in the National Register. With the many historic homes, Stillwater is a perfect town for those who wish to bask in all that is Victoriana. Minneapolis and the Mall of America are nearby.
